televators? that music video is really cool. i like the l'via l'viaquez video as well, but they shortened the song for the video. and when they put it in guitar hero, they used the radio version (5 minutes). the original is 12 min. haha, i'm a hardcore fan
have you heard anything else by them?
i made a stencil of the actual mars volta tarsier on a terracotta clay pot i made in school. i also put on the at the drive-in gas mask logo and a shadow of the colossus boss on there as well and glazed it. it didnt turn out as cool as yours though, haha
how did you make your stencil so well? i did mine on vinyl sticker, and i had to cut it out with an xacto knife...so it was very jaggedy.

Hey there,
I really enjoy your artwork and you have such a wide range of media that you use. I noticed you work in a lab or at least did at some point. Thats cool, lab workers rule!

Thanks. Well you know, when you just don't feel like printing regular picture and your eyes stop on a book called "Alternative photographic techniques", that kind of stuff happens!

Hello Kate,
Gotta agree....weird gallery, but in a totally good way. Bunny Hole #4 was my pick in that series, but you've probably already decided and printed since that was last month. I just stumbled onto your work and really enjoyed browsing.

Thank you for your input anyway. I ended up using Bunny Hole #3 because it was the best negative I had to work with.

What type of camera are you using? When I'm not shooting digital I use a Bronica medium format, I need much more practice with it. I also have another one for sale if you know of anyone that need one (body only).
Where are you taking photography?

For that project we used a 4x5 field camera.
Right now I'm taking intermediate photo at Humboldt State.

Kate! I'm sorry I haven't looked at your gallery for so long. Your photos are looking really great. I especially like the effect you used on "Burnt Milk".
I was watching an Art:21 documentary on a collage artist (I don't remember his name) and he would take his film and leave it in a jar of whatever liquid he had lying around (water, coffee, etc.) and leave it for a while and then develope it and he got some pretty cool variations on the film.
You should also check out the work of Stan Brakage (he paints on film!)
