The line's don't seem to be an ilusion.
If you look at my most recent drawing (debris liberati) you'll see that there's no such effect.
Perhaps you add extra line strength and size, no?
Is "beach boy" an art done with pencil or ink pen?

Well, it could be since I tend to press down a bit on my drawings.
That little piece is done using pencil. Only thing is that it had its brightness/contrast adjusted to make it look darker.
With your artwork you have very clean finishing. My guess is that the sketchy nature of my pencil drawings give it such a look.
No problem on the watch ^___^ I'll be looking forward to more stuff to be added to your gallery.

I've been trying to have a line skill something close to what you're currently doing. Problem is I don't have the time for such dedication.
Do you use any type of reference for the wireframe (like an articulated model or a pre-edited)?

Mostly 2B.... mechanical pencils XP And not much dedication required, actually ^__^ Rough sketches and quick strokes.
Hmm... only references I use are in my head. And wireframes... heck, I don't even use those skeletons. Which explains why most of my drawings go out of proportion. Drop me a note sometime if ya wanna discuss more ^__^
