It doesn't technically "spam" them per say, but when people have conversations in comments anyone can view them and then a piece of artwork ends up having hundreds of comments not relevant to the actual picture. Notes are more of a private message system specifically meant for chatting.
It's more a personal preference really, conversations in comments are nice sometimes but if it's a really long ongoing conversation, i would prefer the person to send me a note or just move the conversation there.

Sorry i didn't mean starting conversations were bad. It's just when they get to be over like 50 or 100 comments long that's when it gets excessive and kind of "spamming"

No i don't actually, and "spamming' isn't really the right word, i guess i was just trying to convey the meaning of excessive commenting.

At the top left of your page you should see something that says "edit page" click on that and scroll down to the "misc zone" click the little arrow on the left side of the "webcam bar" and click "edit widget" here you need to enter the URL of a gif you like. You can find gifs by going to google and search for some. There are also a lot of really good gifs on tumblr. But when you copy the URL you need to make sure it's the URL for the gif and not the URL for the page the gif is on (if that makes any sense)

You can't tell when the gif repeats itself, unlike the one on my page which you can.
