My life is great, now that school is over. School's okay, but by 10 months of it and you just wanna get out. I passed (yay!) with an average of 86 (holy shit) which is pretty damn good for me.

Know what's funny? I did the best on my religion exam with a 96%. Irony, no?

But I digress; do tell about your fantabulous marks. How fantabulous were they, hmm?

Hmm, I dunno all of my marks yet cuz the report cards are sent to us on the 26th...but I was happy at the year-end assembly, cuz I got awards for art and ceramics. I was really surprised though, there's this one girl in gr 11 who was really really good in my opinion, and I totally thought she would get the award...
Lol, I definitely screwed up my math final exam. Religion exam??? What do you do in a religion exam? And yeah, that's pretty ironic. My highest mark this term was probably English or science, cuz they're both 94, but I dunno what I got for the final exams so it could have changed...
Ack, you already know that the people in my school are marks-crazy, right? At the end of the year, they're 100000 times crazier than usual until they finally get their report cards. It's driving me nuts!

Hey, good for you, bud! You won the art award last year, and I'm not the least bit surprised that you won an art award this year. You always were good with the 3-D stuff. So, conrats!

Eh, like I mentioned before, math this year was WAY harder. Don't feel bad 'bout it.
The religion exam was 50% memorizing who/what/where/when, i.e when did Moses get the 10 commandments and who did he share them with? The other 50% was subjective multi-paragraph answers, such as 'why are you a disciple of Jesus?'
Stupid, if you ask me. All I had to do was lay on the bullshit and sap to get perfect on those questions.

English and Science are very important. Good to see you scored well in them.

I can only imagine the nutiness of hyperly mark-conscious nerds at report card time.
Have patience, my friend. Please, try to keep your sanity. At least one of us has to.

Yup, well, I'm going off to Korea on Wednesday so it turns out I won't be getting my report card until August. Ugh...I wanted to get it sooner, to get it over with, but now I gotta be all anxious for another month. Well, now my friends aren't gonna interrogate me about my marks...which is a good thing.

I watched the performance with George Hearn on tv a few times, years ago. It was what first introduced me to the story of Sweeney Todd, and what really made me want to see it live. And the movie fanned the fire!
