Also, what kind of tablet do you use for your artwork? I am wondering what I should buy. Wacom? Bamboo? And how exactly do you clean your pencil artwork up after scanning it?

Yup, i'm still drawing Anyway, I used to use a wacom graphire 4 tablet but they don't sell those anymore. I actually just got a newer intuos tablet from wacom that i really like, but it was pretty expensive. The bamboo ones are less expensive, and it like they've got a few different kinds. Any way you go, wacom makes good tablets.
Anyway, to clean up my drawings I use photoshop and adjust the levels to make the lines darker (photoshop elements comes with the tablets). I also take the eraser tool and erase any weird spots that the scanner picked up. Hope that helps!
