I sent you a note to answer the first, as it is to complex to be answered with a feedback message. And to your comment of Kim Possible. It is hard to find a character more stereotypical and ridicules anywhere.
Let us ignore the ridicules story or lack therefore. The primary problem with KP is the problem that is with the entire “superhero” fad in America.
It is too exhorting to get into it all again, but primarily the problem is that it paints everything in black and white.
It is too unrealistic but still has an aura of normalcy in its actions that could negatively mark weak minds.
Personally I cannot fathom why you allow your children to see this, but forbids them from seeing truly harmless things like the naked human body.

Ps. For KP I would use the word “lame” rather then “awesome”, and the reason why is that she properly wouldn’t be able to do anything if put in a truly alien situation.
I can paint a scenario if you like, and then you can tell me how she would fair, I think that could be entertaining.

I think you may be reading way too far into this... it's a cartoon, its not a gospel by which anyone lives their lives... its just an entertaining television program that I quite enjoy.

I understand what it is, it is entertainment, it is something people watch for fun, and in so doing identify themselves with, and in so doing partly shapes them, just like everything we are exposed to, partly shapes us.

who's to say what is positive and what is negative... what I see is a girl who is empowered to do what in the past girls would never have been shown doing... She is the rescuer not the victim, she is the hero not the love interest. She is a strong woman, much in the mold of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I believe that is a very positive influence on young children.
