Wow even still after a year it hurts me to look at this page,
I showed up months after you died on an old account and was heartbroken when I read the comment below it brought me to tears and it was shocking because I rarely cried over deaths.
You might have been a stranger but I remembered as I was a young awful artist you commented and praised my works and gave me a confidence most didn't and talked to me when you never had to.
Thanks Rita, you were my friend and I hope you rest in peace.

To all who knew and loved Rita through her beautiful, soulful works of art, I regreat to share the sad news that Rita passed away May 12th, 2013. Art was her portal out of her illness and for a brief while as she created her works she was free from the physical pain that was a constant burden in her life. Art lifted her spirit and gave her purpose - a real lifeboat in an otherwise choppy, stormy sea of her physical ailments. She will be forever loved and missed

Could be keeping better - but enjoyed the holidays with family, especially grandson, Theron -- One of the smartest people I know (at only 10 years old!) Gets in trouble in school 'cause keeps correcting the teacher's mistakes, haha. Keeps us on our toes!

Hey! i was just at the gealtacht for the past 3 weeks! Do you know what that is? i had a Huge amount of fun, the day before i left my mother brought me to The CHester Beatty Library And i got to see lots of japanese irish and arabic art, it was magical, i saw a wardrobe about the size of about 16-20 people painted with little people the size of my pinky! it was breathtaking! xx What hav you been up to

Sounds wonderful. I've finally been having a lot of visitors; friends and family from around the country. For years I couldn't see anyone because I was/still am too sick. But decided if they can handle it so can I. I've been so lonely. Saw my oldest friend, from the 1950s and 1960s, my sister and her husband are coming Friday, An internet friend, much younger and her husband will be coming in August. And my very best Friend some time soon. Best of all my grandson will be coming to stay for a while. He's just 10.
Been pretty dry creatively; just too tired to do much. But I keep trying.
So glad you're back in touch. Miss that lovely Irish lilt! haha
