Do you have any tips for doing hugely detailed work, like yours?

I think that the best way of doing detailing in artwork for me is in the early stages of creating your illustration. As you sketch your design, look for areas that you want to make stand out like for example you draw someone you decide that you want to bring out that person's shoes. Plan out what areas of the shoes you want to show off and bring out the most amount of detail and build on those areas.
Keep your illustrations lines as clean as possible unless what you are going for is a sketchy design. Details come out a lot better on images with clean lines.
