Dank je voor je berichtjes. ik ben niet heel vaak (meer) hier op Deviant,
ik ben helaas enkele jaren geleden, samen met veel collega's ontslagen in Diergaarde Blijdorp,
dus er komt maar weinig tekenwerk bij...

Ongebruikelijk werk maak je trouwens, Aziatisch, maar nou eens niet anime'achtig. Ziet er professioneel uit!

Yeah, I know. I'm without a job for a long time now, I did work the last few months of 2015
but that was at such a horrible company, both not very good for the inspiration...

You have a spectacular gallery. Out of curiosity, how did you get your job as a zoo illustrator, and do you enjoy/recommend it? Scientific illustration has always been a fascination of mine, and I've been wondering lately if it's something I could pursue.

Hey,

More or less by 'accident'. In my final year at Graphic School we were given time on fridays to work in the branche
we were educated in (advertising agencies, printing companies etc). In our third year we had drawing lessons in Rotterdam Zoo.
Apparently they needed an extra illustrator at their educational department and I was introduced by my drawingteacher.
So in the fourth year I started there and stayed there.
My work will be ending on the first of july of this year though...
