Found a picture I thought you would find interesting of the King of Italy in conversation with the King of Bulgaria in Rome in 1939: yamalama1986.deviantart.com/ar…
An interesting note: King Vittorio Emanuele III of Italy was so small in height that public photographs had to be carefully staged to avoid emphasizing his smallness.

Thank you for your compliment about my talent. Talent is not always enough though, I need to keep working hard.
That oil painting is very good for the age you were! I have never had an oil painting teacher until I turned 20, so my oil skills are behind my acrylic and watercolour skills I think. But I don't think I could have painted something so detailed and nuanced as that painting even in acrylic paint when I was 12.
