I know many of you have expressed comments about this young lady regarding her ornate get up and theorized on her ancient heritage, but the fact is she lives just down the street. And no, her appearance is not the result of some amorous dalliance, that would be ridiculous, she an alien, obviously. She comes from a race of half goat, half ape, and half of three quarters sentient gelatinous cube. Don’t ask about the cube part, they don’t like to talk about it. Heed my warning, I nearly caused an intergalactic incident over the subject of jello moulds. Apparently the concept of forcing a gelatine based life form into a plastic mould, for the purposes of conforming its shape into an aesthetically pleasing arrangement, strikes them as extremely offensive. I agree, but since my objection is based on a general aversion to jelly, I didn’t really share that with them. Didn’t really want to start a war.

I heard a story once — as a matter of fact, I’ve heard a lot of stories in my time. They began with the sound of a tinny piano playing in a parlor downstairs…and they usually end with an octopus in a top hat. I have no idea where he got it from and it seemed rude to ask, but there’s no way I’m gonna take it away from him. They’ve been through too much together, it just wouldn’t be right. If I was to take it, I just know I’d regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of my life.

To any Casablanca fans, I deeply apologise for completely murdering the dialogue.

I have no idea where he got it from but he just started carrying it around with him one day. Seriously creepy if you ask me. The way it follows you around the room is particularly unnerving. I’ve nearly stepped on it 7 times as it rolls around on the floor, dogging my heels. And that cold, lifeless stare really gives me the willies. Never blinking, always watching my every move. At least all the other eyes the mutt’s brought home were a little friendlier. I even have one sitting on my desk as I work, holding down my papers. It’s very useful. Nearly gave the maid a heart attack though. And it got really awkward when we found out she was missing one just like it.

I know it doesn’t seem like it, but growing up near a toxic nuclear uranium dump, has left this one woman with some remarkably unusual characteristics. Apart from glowing in the dark, she has 7 toes on her right knee, an elbow that bends both ways and an extra butt cheek. But don’t despair. Life might have turned her into a hideous mutated freak, but she’s a young woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, so naturally she was elected prom queen, given a full scholarship to any school she wanted and is being scouted by the modelling industry. Instagram has also approached her for an advertising campaign to promote ‘diversity’.

Well, to be more precise she’s twice the Orc you are. But that’s just because she’s always felt like an Orc trapped in a Gnome’s body. Which has to be a tight fit, psychologically speaking. But worry not, there’s a spell for this. It’s actually quite a common problem, apparently, so the market for species reassignment sorcery is doing pretty well. Gnome to Orc is quite popular, as is Elf to Fairy, but the most in-demand reassignment sorcery at the moment is Human to Pekinese. I can’t possibly fathom why that is, but let’s face it, people are weird. You throw magic into the mix and there’s really no end to the shenanigans people are likely to get up to. I once knew a guy who was completely convinced that he just had to live out the rest of his life as a pumpkin. Strange fellow, but he did make for a very tasty pie though.

Welcome to the Existentialist Dinner. Our specials today are the bitter regrets of an otherwise emotionally adjusted 3 year old, the missing verse to the unsung heroes of urban waste disposal truck number 29, the fleeting elation of a young newlywed couple who have yet to experience the crushing betrayal of rampant infidelity, and the general ennui of the French upper-class. Oh, and there’s pie. I wouldn’t recommend that though, it’s takes itself a little too seriously, if you ask me. There’s nothing worse than pretentious pie.
