I'm here, I'm hurt & in pain. My 3 yr old decided, instead of playing with all those cool toys we've bought for her, that she might like to spend some time playing with an empty toilet paper roll! Okay, I'm all for creativity, but she flattened it out real nice before she threw it down on the bathroom floor. Let me point out that our bathroom floor is CERAMIC TILE. Unaware, I go trotting in there, slipped on the damn thing, like it was a banana peel on ice. Luckily, for my teeth, my right knee took all the weight. It was total mayhem, 'cause my hubby was on the phone with a client. He heard all the blood-curdling screams! So, I've been on the couch all night, leg propped up, & despite my plight, I decided to hobble over to the computer to say HI & as soon as I'm able, will catch up on my replies. Luvs & never forget to throw the empty roll of T.P. in the trash! They are hazardous to one's health!

Sorry, but (lol). I'm very sorry that you're hurt, but you, too tell a good story. I've had plenty of child-generated injuries as well, so I know where you're coming from. After the first 36 hours of putting on ice (to limit the swelling) start putting heat on it (to promote blood flow). Are you sure you didn't crack a bone? Your patella?
Of course you're being kind and making sure you don't blame your three year old (while at the same time making her understand that she did something that made you get seriously hurt, thereby instilling tremendous guilt which can be traded later for other concessions... "You don't want mommy to get hurt again like she did when you played in the bathroom, do you?" Ah, growing up with two Irish grandmothers...
I hope your hubby's deal wasn't effected by the screaming. One time when we were first married my stove shorted out and sent sparks flying across the kitchen. I called my husband at work to tell him. In the meantime my cat had climbed up on top to see what was going on. What the guy next to him heard was... "The stove shorted out! It melted a hole in it!" ZZZZZZZZZZZZT! POP! "AHHHHHH!" "REOWWWWWWWWWWWW!" He turned to Guy (hubby) and said, "What the hell's going ON?"
The cat lived, later to be tumbled in a dryer. She lived through that, too. She finally stopped being curious.
And be glad she didn't put a full paper roll down the toilet and flush. It's much more expensive. (Unless you don't have health insurance)

Yes VA. I have been to Florida & would move there in a heartbeat if my hubby could find work there. There's not alot of Graphic Designers jobs there, according to the headhunters, anyway. But we love Florida. We were on the Gulf & the water was as warm as a bath. Just beautiful!

Right, the heartbeat and the hubby syndrome.
Head hunters are the ones that are not found here.
They have disappeared, or have amnesia that they are in Florida.
In other words, the headhunters just plain suck.
I know for a fact that there are jobs open for extraordinary Graphic Designers.
Anyone can lie on a resume (and they do, and I do not mean your husband) and all is they can do is peck with one finger on the keyboard.
Graphic Designer is an ambiguous term.
Design what with computer aided graphics?
The Gulf is fine, a bit expensive, but Central Eastern Space Coast, is not bad.
Miami and Boca Raton are very expensive.
I don't want to discourage you from moving here.
Just get near the Ocean or Gulf, the water is what makes it tropical.
Orlando is too hot in the summer, and there is no water to cool with.
