# About me
I have been an artist since I could first hold a crayon, graduating to ink sketches, and graphite and charcoal sketches, and painting portraits in oil from my early teens into my 20s. I also became a writer in my teens, with published poems and short stories, and gained awards in competitions. In my early 20s, I became a freelance actress in film and television, with formal education as a method actress, and produced my own written plays in local theater groups, as well as learning to sculpt with clay. I became well known in my local area for portrait sketches. In later years, I painted more in acrylics and focused on fantasy portraits. I also learned web design and digital art. After many life tragedies and personal difficulties, by my middle years I had turned my focus to inspirational artwork and creating metaphysically oriented jewelry.Lilipily Spirit is a family run business concentrating on empowering life through inspirational messages, artwork, and jewelry. Having been through many rites of passage, ourselves, we know the benefit of such simple things and how they can remind us of our blessed connections with the divine.
As neodruidic-pagans cum buddhists, our spiritual path encompasses all religions and faiths. Our belief is that all paths are toward the same path, and that all gods become the same god, and that all people live in god whether they believe in god or not. Our metaphysical focus is upon harmony and healing.

Hello Lianne,
Thanks for all the comments and favourites.
In case you haven't found it yet, I have a folder
with photos of Montsalvat in Melbourne, Australia.

I was in Melbourne earlier this year. Great place!

I know Montsalvat. A friend of mine was married there, long ago. Beautiful place, and well known in the art community, too. I used to live in Victoria, but not for nigh on 20 years now. I'm a Queenslander, these days. Better weather. But the snow still looks nice in your pics. Lusete recommended your gallery after I saw a pic she took for a movie, recently. I was struck by the dramatic emotion in the face of the fellow she photographed. And she was very right to recommend your work, too! You have a flair for showing intense emotion on your face. Very nice. And your wife is absolutely gorgeous! (But you already know that...) Blessings! And looking forward to seeing more some time.

Thank you! Good ol' Lusete, eh?
I've been to Queensland too...to Noosa. Too hot for my taste....give me snow!
I try to show a little emotion every now and then, but I'm no actor.

*lol* Give yourself credit where it's due... ...but I would like to see some faces with less scowl on you, too, and maybe some ordinary walking and standing, instead of all the weapons poses. It allows for greater use in stock. And I wouldn't mind seeing some more of you and your lovely wife, too.
Would you consider taking a look at old paintings by John William Waterhouse, or Sir Edward Burne-Jones, or Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema, and especially Edmund Leighton, who did a lot of work with knights and their ladies? I'm sure that many artists would love to use stock with similar poses and expressions.
(You should probably put some stock rules up, since you've made the pics available, because it's hard to take back free permissions once people have already downloaded under them... Plus, be sure to stipulate if it's okay to use the people's faces in your stock, and also if it's okay to cut their faces off and replace them with other faces. You may need to get your friend's permissions to use their faces in artworks, especially if those artworks are to be sold. Or they may not like knowing that their bodies are "out there" with other people's heads on them... Plus, be aware that people will sometimes want to use just clothing elements from your people, so let them know if that is okay or not. Then there won't be any accidental mistakes.)
Lusete is wonderful. I used one of her snaps in my Aurora poster.
Weather is what you're used to, I suppose. The first two years we lived in Queensland, we seemed to be constantly drenched in sweat - and in winter we went about in shorts and thongs. Now, we wear thick jackets in winter, and watch the tourists look askance at us... hehehe
I like the snow, but in Australia it's mostly icy - not quite the same. But I hate being cold for too long. My hubby was born in Austria (though he's been here since he was 10 months old). His family used to go skiing every year. But it's something he rarely does now because the costs have escalated so much. You're lucky to be in a country where it's on the ground, for free, and you don't have to hike up to the mountains to get it.
