Okay thanks for answering.  I prefer Tumblr to DA now.  DA is kind of dying with a slow bleed out.  It may be easier for you to build a strong following on Tumblr, and you'll have to run into insane prudish mods less on Tumblr (if ever).  The user bases for both can be about as obnoxious, but you can get fans there that will be kind to you.  Anyways, your art is wonderful.  Keep up the great work.  You have genuine real talent, and I love your cute sexy aesthetic.

That makes a lot of sense! Thank you so much for explaining, I didn't really understand Tumblr before. I think you're right.

As for the slow dying of DA, I notice it, there is just this feel that things are slowing down almost imperceptibly. I know I haven't been quite as active the past few months as I was in the summer, but the energy that I get here feels somewhat less than I would have expected, less than before. I've experimented with Reddit and there is a certain fire there that DA lacks.

I think I will revive my Tumblr and see where it goes. I think I had trouble finding a theme I liked, but that should be solvable. 

Tumblr should also be a good medium for little journal posts like project updates, little thoughts on art, sketches and occasional anime comments (there are so many things I would love to say about Anima Yell, for example ^^)

I could write journals here on DA, but I've noticed how few people read them, it's not very motivating.

I'll definitely pick up Tumblr. Thank you!

I'm awfully sorry, but it seems Tumblr is folding to pressure from the corporate powers that be and is banning adult content in two weeks.  It came out of nowhere and everyone is still shocked about it.  I'm pretty livid since Tumblr is pretty much my home on the internet and I enjoyed the freedom there that will no longer exist.  x___X  Sorry for getting your hopes up about that.  I've been at DA since 2009.  I think it really started slowing down like after 2012 or so.  It's kind of a shell of its former self now, possibly becasue of over-moderation scaring everyone away.
