I've been good! Very busy, though! I literally have 2 free Saturdays between now and Christmas I've been spending a lot of time recently plotting a D&D one-shot I'll be running next weekend - it will be my first attempt as Dungeon Master How about you, how have you been?

I've been doing fine, I got a part time job at a laundromat so at least I'm working. Chill place and nice coworkers.

I forgot were you doing translations as work?

Thanks! It's a Victorian Gothic ghosts story in honour of Halloween (aka. my birthday)    (I just hope I didn't make the plot so complicated that my players can't keep track The impulse to over-embroider a story is very difficult to resist.) Do you have any fun Halloween plans?

I'm so glad to hear you've found a workplace you like In my experience, that's so, so important for overall well-being. Not that I know all that much about your own situation, but I have a lot of people around me who are either extremely happy to have found a workplace they like or desperate to find one, so I know it can often be a pretty big deal.

No not really but I am off of work tomorrow so that'll be nice.

Yes, the pay isn't great or anything but it's a nice place and the computer has hulu, netflix, etc. So lots of shows and movies to watch during downtime if I'm in the mood. Unfortunately snacks all around me and I'm not good at resisting food, but I am reducing the amount of junk and bringing fruits and veggies more often with me. I need to lose weight.

OH I thought you still lived there. Did you enjoy it there?

So long! And I've really missed talking to you I haven't been on dA much the last ... years (gah, it's been way too long ), both because of general busyness (I'm working as a freelance translator now) and because we haven't been taking photos in a while (we don't really have any good places to take them, and it's really depressing to make sub-par content when you know it's sub-par).

I really want to take some new photos soon, though (I have so many new props and costumes I would love to use!), but I'll have to rope in Kath for a day and figure out a location. At least that might be easier now that spring sort of crash landed. Norway was covered in snow a mere few weeks ago, and now it's nearly summer (as summers go in Norway). I sort of suspect winter is playing a trick on us and waiting around the corner ...

But in general, things are good! Kath and I have started playing D&D with a couple of friends, and we enjoy it a lot, even though we're honestly not great at it (we are regularly almost killed by things that should not really be that big a challenge). Everyone else in the group are still at uni, though, so we probably won't play again until exams are done. (It makes me feel kind of old that my friends are all still students, even though I'm younger than everyone except Kath )

So, that was a random assortment of ... ramblings. What about you, how have you been these last (many, many ) years?

That makes sense if you're busy, I hope you're enjoying the translating work! Yeah we had snow just a couple weeks ago too but now it's very warm today and a storm is coming.

OH that's cool, I've never really played DnD except once when I was much younger about 20 something years ago and I don't think we had a board game or anything we were just making stuff up lol.

I'm ok, Very rare part time work, we might go on a cruise in a month or two, maybe after we come back I can look for a job. I'm trying to decide where to upload my photos online, to showcase them and as a form of backup just in case. (besides DA). People told me to carefully read the terms of agreement for the various sites, in case they say something like they "own" your photos if you upload them and stuff?
