Here's a fun exercise:
Take a pair of shoes-- any pair of shoes, and casually toss them on the floor.
Draw said shoes, taking notice of things like space on the page and orientation, as well as left and right.
Inside of aforementioned shoes, invent a pose for a character in which their feet would logically fit into the shoes as drawn.
