# About me
Who I amI'm originally from Lodi, California. When I was growing up there, by chance I was able to see an artist tutor my 3rd grade class in cartooning, since then, I have pursued a career in artwork; with a cartoon-like flair. My influence has always been the entertainment business; that is, I enjoy painting and drawing current media and video game characters. I suppose you could say that my style would fall into pop art, due to myself appropriating from media. Throughout the years, I have been improving and trying to establish my own style to differentiate myself from other artists, although in the end, I believe that art is what you make of it. It could be fantastic or abysmal in anyone's eyes. In my life, I've been featured in several student exhibitions starting in high school. My greatest achievement was having a small piece of art featured within the Beckett Collector Feature, and finally being able to open and maintain my own website.
My Artist Statement
My reason for creating it is to express my own style, but still improve it while I work towards bettering myself as an artist. As a student I have not established a firm reason for my artwork as of yet. If there are any feelings or emotions in my pieces, they are in the present of which the image was captured- usually there are not hidden meanings within my work but a narrative of what is being shown; in the idea of that I usually paint or draw comedic scenes and/or dark scenarios. Video games, and entertainment medias are what inspire my work, as it is a goal of mine to design characters for the entertainment industry. My stylized way of drawing is influenced from animators such as the late Marc Davis to cartoonists like Mark Kistler. My overall work is akin to Roy Lichtenstein's giant comic paintings- as shown with my thick lines and solid colors. Despite the simplicity of some of my finished pieces, I don't want viewers thinking "oh, I could easily draw that too", but think more along the lines of what the subject matter in my pieces is, whether it be humorous or dark.

Just an idea of something else to do. Since I probably won't go otherwise. I was miserable trying to do it myself last year. :/ with other people tho the derpiness might be fun, I don't know. But if you're not into doing that and still wanted to visit at that time, not a big deal, I am not hugely emotionally invested in going or anything.
I'd just need to find out if I can get consecutive days or the weekend off, if my mgr wants me to take that time. Cos it would be useless if I got like, the 5th off but was scheduled on a day where I couldn't take you to the airport or something like that. I wanted to ask but the scheduling manager had already left for the day, so I just wrote a note saying I might be willing to take some of that time off.
