Hell is other people. After about two hundred thousand years, the so called "wise man" is still as much as a disease to the Earth's skin. Humanity is never changed is never going to change. Not all the hate in me and my fellow men combined is going to change that.

So the misanthrope hates his fellow human beings, and how does he look to another misantrope? An ally or a faul creature nonetheless?
And humanity hasn't been a 'disease to the Earth's skin' for two hundred thousand years,
it may have always been 'destined' to become a dominant polluter, but it's only recently that we've really begun to screw up on an epic scale.
Could it not be that the exponentially growing and since short easier to notice results of our mistreatment of this planet cause more and more people to see that we're doing it wrong, and that ideas like deep ecology, misanthropy, ... could spread like never before?
If you would be the only misanthrope on this planet, nobody would care, but if there were more (that believed changing the course of the human race is possible), then could they not make a difference?

Misanthropy is a mindset, like, for example, nihilism. Not a movement, like anarchy. It's not a wish to change something, it's a perception of our species as it is, and the acknowledgement there is nothing to do about it.

Misanthropy is hating fellow man, it doesn't necessarily mean acknowledging there is nothing to do about it. But I guess that if you are a misanthrope for ecological reasons, that is probably your view.
Is your misanthropy's origin your love for this planet as a biotope and hating mankind for screwing it up? Or percieving all humans to be evil at the core?

I completely understand Lygophilia1. And you may not understand but people like him are usually the most sensitive and most humanatarian. If people did not have things like greed, envy, grudge everyone could live in harmony. Humans evolved to have these feelings (not all of them) and they will soon be destroyed. they ruin nature.
