Okay, so, I was looking at horrific imagery and whatnot from other scary stories and horror manga for inspiration

The acclaimed horror manga creator Junji Ito knows his stuff and draws some of the horrific things I’ve seen in a manga inspired by Lovecraftian horror

Then there’s the morbid imagery I remember from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, where something as simple as a ghost looks disfigured like THIS vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/sc… And environments like the outside of a church look like a nightmarish landscape litreactor.com/sites/default/f…
Someone drew a bunch of Pokemon inspired by this art style and was able to make the cutesy lovable Charizard look absolutely terrifying 66.media.tumblr.com/01bd78d43b…

What am getting at is, would you be able to capture these art styles when drawing for a horror story?

Sorry man, but I've seen Junji Ito's stuff and it freaks me out. Which means he's an awesome horror artist, but it's just not for me. I skimmed through Uzumaki once and it freaked me out for like a week.

A pity, but understandable. Junji Ito’s work is freaky to say the least. I remember the Glyceride story making my stomach churn. I almost didn’t eat all day after I read it, lol
