I use photoshop CS5
the brushes are also from photoshop and sometimes i use textures from cgtextures.com ^^

I am an illustration major, but all students have to take a digital fundamentals class. That's when they teach you the basics of photoshop and illustrator.
That sounds amazing! But I gotta warn you, going to art school is not going to be easy. But if you really love it and want to succeed, it shouldn't be a problem.
Oh I see. I've never heard of Genius. Is it a good tablet? How long has it lasted you?
Depends on your major really. If you're going for graphic design or animation, you will definitely need a tablet. It also depends on what your instructors ask for. If they want a specific brand to be used, then do what they say, because they're probably right. XD

Yeah, I know it's not all fun and games TT_TT
actually lately i've been a little depressed thinking "i'm not good enough fo this" etc TT_TT
but i really really want to study something art related so i'm going to try my best and be more confident...
It's not so sensitive about pressure but it does the trick... but it was cheap for a tablet so it's ok 8D i've had it for about a year and a half now and lately sometimes it just stops working OTL
