dOOd that cOllectiOn Of rOleplays was the funniest thing i has seen all week. it reelly made me want tO make a rOleplay facebOOk accOunt and try and jump in On the actiOn. Only prOblem is that i have yet tO master the persOnality Of any hOmeseuck character

I moaned as into the deck where i was laying face down as the ship began to move, "I freakin HATE bOats! Why dOes mOther always send me On stupid quests with nO explanatiOn and it always starts with FREAKIN BOATS!!" I spazzed out on the deck for a few minutes and then went back to moaning.

"gO find that wand i lOst decades agO sOn.' Sure mOther where did yOu leave it? 'in sOme fOrgOtten temple in the YellOw Isles, fetch it fOr me will yOu?' sure mOther its nOt like freakin hate bOats Or anything!!! F YOU THE INVENTOR OF BOATS F F**ING YOU!!!" I roll around for another few minutes and watch as people avoid and whisper about the weirdo rolling on the deck. "Ok I'm dOne. nOw its nap time." I stop rolling and apearify a pillow and begin to nap in the middle of the deck.

I'll admit the sea can be quite beautiful in the right circumstances. However, watching someone roll around the deck muttering to themselves can be very distracting. I watched in fascination as the crew dodged the strange person. Seamen are surprisingly agile.

After a few moments, and a little bit of encouragement from a few of the minutes, I walked over to the roller who was now sleeping on the deck. Wonderful. Curse you parents for installing morals within me.

I knelt down next to the man. "Hello?" I said, poking him in the side. "I don't think the deck is the best place to sleep."

I blinked. I'm fairly sure that there wasn't a blanket there a second ago. A minute floated over to my shoulder and confirm my suspicions. I frowned. Hess or Dess? That is the question.

"No need to be rude bub." I huffed. I stood up and hooked the guy under the arms. "So now we do this the hard way. No need for you to make the life of this crew any harder than it needs to be."

I started dragging the man across the deck. "Man you're heavy." I wrapped my Thrin around my arms to strengthen them. "You could've had the decency to crash near the railing you know."

I opened my eyes  to see I was being dragged across the deck. I jerked my head up in surprise and felt my horns come in contact with probably a face and was dropped. "OOps, sOrry, i didn't mean tO hit yOur face!!" I stood up and put my purple, mirrored aviator glasses on top of my head before reached down to help the girl who was dragging across the deck.

My backside hit the wood hard, my head ringing in pain. After a moment of recovery, I rubbed my nose in annoyance. That guy had a hard head. I pulled my hand away, my fingers stained red. Bloody nose, just what I need. I did my best to stop the blood flow from dripping onto my clothing.

I looked up and saw that the man had his hand held out. "Thanks but no thanks." I muttered as I pushed myself off the deck, ignoring his offered aid. So much for being the helpful one.

I stumbled over to the railing, my head struggling to clear away the fog. I leaned out over the water and pulled my hand away from my face, letting my blood drip into the sea. "You've got to be more careful, you jerk. I think you almost broke my nose!" I yelled. This was not the way that I wanted this day to start.

I joined the girl at the railing and offered her some tissues, "sOrry, i sOMe times fOrget that these hOrns are On my head. i have hit quite a few things with them, never a nOse befOre thOugh that's a new One tO add tO the list." I pulled out my note booked and added this hit to my long list of things I've broken with my horns.

I grabbed the tissues from the man indignantly and pressed them into the under side of my nose. "So which one of them is your parent? I've never heard of any of them having horns." I asked, watching him write in a small book. "To be fair though, I'm not entirely versed in the workings of that world. My parents are the ones that spent years memorizing the social structure of the Hess. I couldn't ever focus long enough to get anywhere."

"Name's Idris." I said. I pulled the tissues away and found that my nose had stopped bleeding. I breathed a sigh a relief. I tossed the used paper over the railing. "You're a fool if you think that you're the only kid of a Hess. They have... loose morals. One doesn't live that long and retain their conscious."

A gust of wind swept across the deck, catching my hair and shoving it into my face. I spat the blond strands out of my mouth and wrestled the rest of my locks back into partial submission. "You wouldn't happen to have a ribbon or something on you, would ya? Mine's down in the cabin with my trunk."

I waved my hand, making the tissue vanish half way to the ocean, and at the same time creating a black ribbon. "i'm pretty sure i'm the Only One. fist Off have yOu seen any One else running arOund with hOrns and secOnd i saw my Other sibling get destrOyed when the universe came intO existence." I sighed as I handed her the ribbon, "have yOu seen what antimatter dOes tO peOple?! even immOrtal children Of a hess cant escape it."

I took the ribbon gratefully and tied back my hair the best I could. The wind was only going to get worse the further out to sea we got and I didn't need to be spending my time spitting out my hair. "Can't say I know what antimatter is and no one is immortal, not even the Hess. You also are obviously not versed in genetics. We don't get all the traits of our parents. I can guarantee that my life would be a heck of a lot more difficult if that was the case."

I slid down to the deck, wincing as my rear made contact with the wood. I leaned back against the railing and breathed in the salty air. "What kind of abilities do you get being a half-breed anyway? Haven't met any Dess outside of my family before."

I stuck my hand out absent mindedly and smiled thinly as a minute landed on my upturned palm. The sandy creature trotted up my arm lazily. It climbed my shoulder and onto my head where it sat happily, observing the going on's of the ship. I dropped my hand to the deck, sighing.

I took a sip from my glass and conjured another and offered it.

"You must be more than half Hess." I mused. "Though I suppose there isn't a set standard for Dess, is there? My mom always told me that they can be as powerful as a Hess or as powerful as a Damas and everywhere in between."

I took the glass of soda from Tuleal and sipped it experimentally. Tasted like the real thing. I chuckled quietly. "Gyin also told me to run like a bat out of Tartarus if I ever bumped into one. The question is, should I listen to her or not?"

The minute on my head squirmed, angry that I was ignoring it. It scrambled down to my shoulder and jumped down to my lap. It crossed its arms, sneering at me. "Ah hush, you." I mumbled, using the mintues' native language under my breath. "I can't spend all of my time paying attention to you guys. Human interaction is important you know."

I looked in the area that Idris was talking to see nothing, 'must be a minute or something.'

I took another sip the nspoke, "yOu see thats the prOblem, im nOt sure what i am. i was bOrn lOng befOre humans, mixed eith a race Of creatures that exited befOre the creatiOn Of the universe. thats why my mOther is cOnsidered a lOst goddess." I set my drink down and summoned some clay and formed it into a little minute and set it down next to the spot Idris was talking to. "because Of my nOnhess half im nOt sure hOw i fit intO all this hess, dess, gic nOnsense."

I looked at the clay creation Tuleal had placed next to me. "You and me both bud. We don't belong anywhere. The social classes are messed up beyond belief but there isn't anything either of us can do about it." I picked up the clay and looked it over. "I'd like to know how you know what a minute looks like. If you aren't a descendant of Rupert, you shouldn't even know they exist."

The minute in my lap crawled over top the figurine in my hand. It sat one my arms, staring at its material opposite. It chattered angrily, making faces, trying to get a reaction out of the inanimate object. I shook my head. This was just another example of the low level of intelligence the minutes possessed.

But it was gosh darn cute.

"they exist in a plane between existence and nOt, sO as the child Of a hess that has cOntrOl Over "nOthing" (the vOid) i can see them when the flicker intO the nonexistence plane." I poked near where I saw the minute, "same gOes fOr paradOxes, but they stay mOre On the nonexistence plane, sO ican see them a lOt easier." I pulled a badly chipped and blunted spear head out of my jacket and created a grinding stone and started to repair the chips to a fine bladed point. "enOugh abOut that, what are yOu On this death machine fOr? and what can yOu dO? i dOnt leave mOther pOcket dimensiOn unless tO run and get things fOr her, sO i dOnt see much Of the wOrld." I stopped grinding for a moment to finish off my soda and make the glass vanish.

The minute continued chattering, though its anger was directed at Tuleal instead of the clay figure. "Don't even mention those black creatures." I growled. "They are not to be spoken of." The minute shut up, looking at me with sympathy. I doubted it understood what was going on but it knew I was upset.

I rubbed my eyes with the heals of my hands, trying to stave off the headache that was blooming behind my eyes. "I'm supposed to go to on an 'adventure' or something like that." I grumbled. "It was my parents' idea. They think the Yellow Isles are the best place to start for some awful reason. As for my abilities, well you'll just have to wait and see. I've got more than a few tricks up my sleeve."

"I do not want to explain." I snarled, slamming my hand to the deck. "Those creatures are vile, blacker than the sands that they are made up of. What part of don't speak of them did you not understand?"

I pulled myself up, sending the minute spinning through the air in a flurry of sand. I took a deep breath. "Good day to you, Tuleal." I said through gritted teeth. I stormed towards the bow of the ship, my boots hitting planks heavily. Some people have no respect for touchy subjects.

"Well THAT  could have been handled better!" said a voice from inside my jacket.

"i didnt think yOu were a wake." I said to a little white dragon(looks like Mushu from Mulan) as he crawled out of my jacket.

"Of course I'm awake!! After that kind of stupid move how could I stay a sleep, hmm?" he yelled as he crawled up to my shoulder.

"well hOw else could i have handled that situation, GaiOs?"

"You could have not mentioned the paradoxes again like she said, you seriously need to get out more so you can understand that."

"and have peOple stare at my hOrns and shark teeth sOme mOre? i dOnt think sO!!!"

"Well I think you should go apologize to the girl." He said as he crossed his little arms.

“shes nOt important tO the quest, sO I don’t need tO.” I created a pillOw and blanket again and started to lay down on the deck again, “whO needs peOple skills when yOu can sleep?”

“Fine I will be the better man, even though I’m a dragon, and apologize for you.” He hopped off my shoulder and slither/ran on the railing toward where Idris went.

“have fun with that.”

“You bet I will, I dOn’t even know why I do such things for you.” He grumbled as he reached Idris.

I ran up that railing until I was at the girl elbow and tugged on her sleeve until she turned to look at me, “Excuse me miss, sorry for my partners behavior, he doesn’t get out much and doesn’t really get people and their emotions.”

Once I was a decent enough distance away from Tuleal, I leaned my elbows against the railing and buried my head in my hands. This was exactly why I didn't want to leave home. New people were always a pain in the rear and going to new places means new people out the wazoo.

I looked over my shoulder when I felt someone tugging at my shirt sleeve. And that's a lizard. A scaly, white lizard. It's talking to me. Great, now I'm hallucinating.

I blinked once. Then twice. Then I screamed. "Holy mother of Hess!" I scrambled backwards, tripping over my skirt. I landed on my back, hitting my head against the deck. That is not going to help my headache.

I blinked in surprise at the human girls reaction, "Well dang girl, I'm not that ugly am I?" I said as I jumped down onto the deck next to her head, "warn a brother when you spazz out like that I nearly fell into the ocean!"

I grabbed onto her shoulder as she stood back up, "Now I see why he didn't want to come apologize, you are a hard girl to handle. You're one of those super hot chicks with too high standards aren't you?"

I groan as I pushed myself up again. On the boat less than an hour and I'd already gotten hurt more than I normally did in a year. Adventures hurt.

My ears were ringing, blocking out all the other sounds on the boat. I felt a weight on my shoulder and looked to see the lizard clinging to me. His mouth was moving so I knew he was talking but whatever he was saying was lost on me. I didn't like the look on his face though.

"Shut up." I muttered. I decided to take another suggestion from my mother. Sometimes the best way to get rid of something that's bugging you is to throw it far, far away.

I wrapped my Thrin tightly around the white lizard's body and mouth, floating him out in front of me. "I am not in the mood for whatever it is you are saying, not that I can hear it thanks to you." I growled, tightening my grip. "Now I'm going to make you go away. I hope you enjoy flying. Or swimming."

I flung the lizard off of the side of the boat, doing my best to shove a lid on my boiling anger. "I'm calm, I'm calm, I'm perfectly calm." I stomped towards the lower decks. "I am in need of some calm."

"wOw, she really threw yOu far." I said trying not to laugh, "sO whO shOuld lecture whO in this situatiOn?"

"Oh shut it you nubby horned freak, I will admit I did not handle that situation well." Gaios grumbled as he shook all the water off his scales, "I needed a bath any ways."

"Well Idris ran belOw deck, prObably tO her cabin, and we are aprOuch the first island, sO lets put this issue behind us and search fOr mOther magical staff/wandy thing."

"Alright alright," he sighed as he climbed up my bOdy tO his sleeping pOcket, " I'll be in here, if you need anything DON'T wake me."

another half hour went by off me messing around on deck before the plank was lowered for us to visit the first island. I skipped down the plank humming the tune to that song in the Wizard Of Oz, the one about being off to see the wizard, and promptly tripped and landed face first on the ground, "OOOOOOwwwww..."
