Hello all.My name's Tom, known on many online venues as Marxforever (whichever Marx you think I'm referring to, you're probably wrong). Though I prefer using pencils for all my drawing and coloring, at least that's what I'm the most comfortable with. I've been trying my hand a Digital painting lately. It's slow going...
Like I'm sure a lot of artist out there are, I am self taught. Which basically mean I had a horrible, stupid, stupid teacher. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what I'm doing two thirds of the time. Whether or not I'm doing this or that right, and nine times out of ten I'm probably doing things the hardest way possible. My battle plan is to just keep on pushing, hoping that if I push hard enough I'll be able to break through this wall of ignorance. (Oooh Poetic Imagery. Nice!)
It really is a struggle, but at least I have a radiant, burning passion!
...er, most of the time...sometimes...occasionally...It's been known to burn, okay?!
Anyways, as you've probably been able to guess from my Deviant I.D. up above, procrastinating is also a really a big problem of mine. I have projects I've haven't even touched in like four years. There just never seems to be enough time... And yet, there's always time for games. I wonder why that is? Meh, life's little mysteries.

Self taught but that's just a fancy way of saying you had a crummy teacher, lol. I assure you there are better people to learn from than me. my process was/is very time-consuming and extremely tedious, requiring a ton of trial and error. Don't go my route.
