I have been so busy. So the last time I was super active on DA was the last year I was in school. After I moved back home, I did nothing but study for the RD/dietitian exam. After I passed it, I got a job and moved (literally-this all happened over a summer) to the other side of the country...let's think. After that, nearly died (literally), got engaged, got a house, got a dog, got married, went on our honeymoon, went home for my mom's funeral...
I've been busy...all of the above plus 40 hours working every week.
I've missed DA. The biggest problem I had with not posting art is because I don't have a scanner...and didn't have the right art supplies. How are you?!

Life been stressful, things change on my side of the world. My younger brother died in 2011, so I was dealing with that heart break. Didn't spent time with my own family during the holidays, so that hurt me. And now the rules have change at the program I'm in this year, and it sucks. I post it in my journal.
I did some new stuff tho. Check out my gallery. I don't have a good scanner to use on my laptop, so I use my camera on my phone. Very useful.

I sympathize with your loss. My mother died Christmas Eve, 2011. It was very difficult for my family. I was back home for the funeral over the New Year.
Let me know if you need someone to talk to. My phone works ok for scanning but the quality is crap.

Man that sucks. I'm sorry for your loss too. I'm almost getting over it, thanks to my boyfriend John. Sadly everytime my boyfriend's birthday come, he knows the next day he has to see me cry. My brother die after my boyfriend's birthday.
No offence asking, but how your mother died? My real mother died of CANCERS. I did the poem to her called LET GO. I'll send you my number in your messages...

I wasn't one of those over-indulged brats that got a new car and a trip to europe...
My family found fun ways to make my birthday special-16 of them to be exact!

Oh, I wasn't thinking of MTV Supersweet 16(is that what they call it?)I'm pretty aware not all Americans are loaded with cash and some kids in my country are worse than over-pampered.(winces)
I turned 16 this August you see and the night before there was this feeling inside me that was like '16 is a magical number, starting tomorrow will change: You're becoming 16. On that night, I read Bruce Foster Wallac's 'Forever Overhead'. (Great writer, such a shame he commited suicide)The next day I had to sit for two English papers and there was no cake, but that's normal to youths my age in my country. (smiles) But it was magical, the eve of turning 16.(smiles again)
There isn't much new things you can do in Singapore when you reach 16 except watch NC16 movies which tend to have more gore and violence. But things change I guess, when you reach 16. I think there are birthdays which are really special, almost magical because they are like milestones: 0,1,2,3,6,9,12,13,16,18,21,24,30,40,50,60,62...(62 because that's the official retirement age in my country)

Well, I think a lot of girls feel that way before they turn sixteen (it's been a while for me), but in many fairy tales and such the girl seems to instantly find her prince when she turns 16-hahaha.
I don't think American's have as many special birthdays as anyone else...
1, 16, 18, 21, 40 (which is more depressing than anything else), and I think it's 65 for retirement.
I think my 21st was more "magical" than my sixteenth, but my sixteenth was definitely a day to remember.
