oh yeah that's okay, sorry i didn't see this until now
but hmmmmmm honestly, right now, life for me is stay in my room 24/7 and talk to people  and play tetris, a lot, sometimes... sometimes  i play tetris a lot, other times i don't play it much

but what about youu? o:  how's school nd stuff since that started a monthish ago?  and what about halloween things!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2015-10-17 03:57:37 +0000 UTC]

that's basically what i'm doing after school  drawing and then painting and then games and then sleep and uhhh... yeah, all that sort of stuff XP

school's okay, it's just a plain old school with student people and teacher people and people people  haven't really met anyone yet, but i experienced my first pep rally there today, which was really super noisy XP

oh yeah, speaking of tetris and halloween, I saw a pumpkin once that had pinholes arranged into a square grid with a circuit board connected to LED lights behind each hole inside the pumpkin, and when you turned it on you could use the pumpkin's stem to play tetris with the LEDs acting as the blocks  I'm sure there's a less complicated way to put that but whatever  have you done anything for halloween yet? i've only gone to a bunch of halloween stores and went to a pumpkin field the other weekend with my niece

oooh yeah, that sorta stuff, i know what you mean

sounds like... school  woah that sounds intense o_o  i've never experienced one but i hear they are... intense..

woah that sounds really amazing O  i seriously want to see that pumpkin  i love creative interactive things like that o:  oh, i understood it just fine

hmmm, not reaaaaally, honestly, my sister has done more than i have, with halloweeny costumes involving  makeup and stuff, she dressed up as a witch, which (witch, which... ) i never got to see unfortunately, and then she dressed up as harley quinn, which i had to ask who was...   and... well we got pumpkins  i'm wondering if my grandma is going to make pumpkin bread like she does a lot, because i really like the pumpkin bread she makes _o_  and... a friend invited me to his house for halloween like happened last year o:

ooh, did you get anything from those stores or just browse?  either way, it sounds halloween atmposherey and that sounds pumpkiny  are pumpkins fruits, or vegetables? or.. something else..  whatever they are, i really like them  especially pumpkin color

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2015-10-22 01:07:23 +0000 UTC]

pep rallies... I have no idea why, but my old high school, which had twice as many students as the school I'm attending now, never had pep rallies as loud as this one... at the end, everyone (and I mean everyone) leaped from the bleachers and all made a stampede straight for center of the gym and created a school-friendly mosh pit of sorts to really loud pop music I would have joined in, but I don't have friends to back me up in that situation at this point in time XP intense is definitely the correct word to describe such an experience

haha, really, the only sort of thing I tend to do during october is just stock up on decor for the year and then see my friends on halloween the more sturdier solid decorations (ceramic, glass, metal, etc) are perfect for my gothy decorating aesthetic XP the only thing i've really gotten this season is a fake (but realistic looking) gas lantern, along with a little voodoo cat (which i promptly named mike for some reason XD) and then this really awesome barn thing: i.imgur.com/yeiEC71.jpg   and probably other things I can't remember right now...  pumpkin bread sounds really good actually, I've never had that before our tradition is to bake the seeds we pull out of the pumpkins we carve so tasty... that and apple cider and donuts, and candy apples   word of google says pumpkins are fruits and even berries! that sounds really silly for some reason... you don't usually think of pumpkins as fruits or vegetables... just... pumpkins... squash

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegaLoler In reply to tinykillerkitten [2016-03-22 16:39:31 +0000 UTC]

wow,  that sound's incredibly intense  yeah, honestly i wouldn't be able to join something like that without there being at least some people that i know well enough in there

ooh, that does sound perfect does that fake lantern light up and everything? i can't stop imagining it and it looks so aesthetic in my head    (mike sounds awesome )  woaaahh that barn is so cool looking    it makes me wonder if there's an alien invasion going on in there or something  haha i really love pumpkin bread  ooh! i've never had pumpkin seeds, but somehow.... baked pumpkin seeds sounds... so good... i really want to try them now  apple cider!!!!  you have the perfect halloween food  yeah, that is pretty interesting XD  when i think of berries it's these little tiny things, and when i think of fruits, its hese handheld juicy things, pumpkins just seem... different

sorry i don't know where i went for 5 months

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2016-03-23 01:17:04 +0000 UTC]

the lantern lights up although it's realllly dim XP although that can be partially attributed to me having it on so much... i love ambient lights, I've got halloween string lights (still) up, and a glowy mouse and keyboard, and three lava lamps on my desk... and I still want more and yes pumpkin seeds are amazing, especially with salt    I very much am beginning to crave halloween food and sweets now

I totally understand, i tend to disappear into the fog like a ghost at the most random points in time and confuse my friends

oh my gooooooooooooooosh, i lOvE lights like that!! honestly, if i had lights like that i would never take them down either  that's so cool that you have a glowy mouse and keyboard, i loveeeee thOooseeee   i was actually browsing keyboards recently and i saw some rainbow lit ones and i just... i want one    haha i had a lava lamp, but i didn't really use it because it was so fragile and easy to knock over and it made me paranoid x_x otherwise i would definitely have it out  but i recently ordered parts to build a computer, and the case i ordered came with a big blue led fan, and ... i love it  colors and lights are like my favorite things ever, i can just stare into them and feel so many things, i used to watch that classic apple flurry screensaver for long periods of time as it moved from one color to the next  i can't help but imagine all of those things you mentioned that you have in a dark room though, and it just seems so... atmospheric  my sister actually has a bunch of colorful strands of light in her room and i love going in there when it's dark because it's so pretty.... i've been wanting to ask for some for my own room actually but i haven't yet

haha, yeah, it happens XP

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2016-03-28 18:05:54 +0000 UTC]

atmospheric lighting is the booomb the rainbow keyboard i have is pretty cool because you can change the color of the backlighting, and there's even a rainbow setting for when you can't decide  I've never actually knocked over any of my lamps actually, i guess the key is to put it in a safe corner and keep the cord away from where it can be pulled and stuff but i've kept them on in my room overnight and stuff on multiple occasions so i don't really think they're as dangerous as some people may make them out to be XP about the screensaver, that reminds me, there was this old windows screensaver called "starfield" I think, that was just stars breezing past the screen going on forever, we had it on the first computer i remember having as a kid and i loved watching it at night

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegaLoler In reply to tinykillerkitten [2016-04-05 15:28:22 +0000 UTC]

that sounds amazing O:  you could totally adjust it to whatever mood you wanted, or to fit the rest of your surroundings  haha "too many colors, i can't choose, how about all of them muahahahahahahaha"   yeah that does sound like a good solution xP  ooooh, i just went to watch it, i can see why you might have loved watching it, it's fun to feel like i'm flying through space, and perfect for night time atmosphere too  was that that old XP computer you used to have? either way i'm sure it's potentially nostalgic haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2016-04-07 01:23:08 +0000 UTC]

haha right my experience with my keyboard is kinda funny every night, because i'll look at the keyboard and go, "hmm... am i feeling blue? purple? pink? eh, i'll probably just make it orange. or green? i don't even know"
yeah, it was the computer we had sitting in our dining area. definitely nostalgic    before that we had one of those old imac computers ((i think this exact one) , though it eventually ended up sitting in my room because i had messed around with it apparently and deleted a bunch of important system files...

MegaLoler In reply to tinykillerkitten [2016-04-09 16:48:46 +0000 UTC]

i can totally imagine that happening  honestly the most innocent-seeming abundance of choices can be detrimentally overwhelming sometimes     old computers are pretty nostalgic, it's funny how they can be such a source of nostalgia, but when you look at them, it can be a can be pretty immersive experience using them, so it makes sense oooh, those really colorful ones, i like those O:  haha whoops, i'm pretty sure i did that once to my dad's emac before, he was pre-tty displeased

when i was tiny we had a power macintosh, and i can't remember which one it was exactly, but i know it was one of the flat kinds, that you set the monitor on top of, i know we had it when i was born (1995), the cd and floppy drives were layed out from left to right, and i know it had rca jacks on the back because i remember i was intrigued by them, so guessing with that information, it was probably either this one or this one (except our monitor didn't look like that at all ) ... unless my memory isn't quite right and the floppy drive was above the cd drive? in which case it might be one of the others, i'm not sure  but! i do know that that computer really influenced my idea of what computers looked like when i was little  and when i was 2 we had this laptop which i still have somewhere, but unfortunately it's useless nowadays considering the cd drive doesn't work anymore, it can't connect to the internet or anything, and there's pretty much nothing installed on it  but when me and my sister were little we used to draw on clarisworks allllll the time and at one point i figured out how you change the color palette so i told my sister "come see! we got a new color in clarisworks" which basically was our equivelent way of saying "come see! we unlocked a new color in clarisworks" as if it were a video game

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2016-04-10 21:15:23 +0000 UTC]

lol, i destroyed our imac when i was like three years old, so my parents just kind of let it slide then it was still functional enough though, and i remember there were some really weird games on it... one was like some kind of timed  shooting game where you had to eliminate all these ladybugs in a garden or something before the clock ran out, then there was a space game where you had to shoot at enemies in a top-down view with walls and stuff, and i remember whenever you died you'd get a black game over screen with a baby crying noise in the background   that noise was a perpetual source of frustration for my determined 4-year old self

those old computers are really cool... i think in my old elementary school we had computers very similar to the ones you linked i think they were all windows though, in fact my middle school is the only school i remember using macs there's something inherently... mystical about old technology that doesn't work very well anymore, like computers that can't connect to the internet, or old cds and floppy disks... it feels like they're just hiding a bunch of long-forgotten files of lore, only to be opened by a curious observer many years into the future
I've never used clarisworks but that's awesome do you still have any of the old drawings you made? back in 1st grade i bought this CD for an old art program called kidpix at one of those elementary school book fairs, and i remember being so pumped when I finally convinced my mom to buy it for me (it was something like $20) XP i would always make elaborate scenes using the stickers and stamps and pre-made backgrounds it came with

MegaLoler In reply to tinykillerkitten [2016-04-11 20:36:08 +0000 UTC]

those games seem pretty particular, i feel like games for old macs were like that a lot for some reason, very... particular which i like, because it makes them unique and interesting, and memorable and gives them character, and a certain old game charm
haha, it's funny how sound effects from old games can become staples of their identity, like.. i can still playback the sounds from games i used to play and hear them so clearly in my head.. and when i think about them it takes me back to how i felt playing them and the atmosphere at the time and everything
i can't rememeber if i ever told you about the one i used to play all the time when i was little, step on it, which i'm happy someone actually posted a video of on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i47Qd…  i also played a game that game on the same cd from the same company, i can't rememeber what it was called, but you were a paper airplane and had to fly through houses without touching the ground or hitting anything, and you would use air vents to keep from falling, and there were lots of puzzle elements, and it had a level editor, so of course i spent a century or two playing that game
but heck, even the mac mini i got in 2005 for christmas had interesting games on it, marble blast gold? i had a lot of fun playing that a ton  and my dad's 2002 emac had a robot game on it which i can't quite rememeber... but i think the name was a pun, you were an alien robot and had to make it back to your ufo thingy and survive... oh yeah! it was called otto matic

ooh yeah, actually, same with my elementary school! i honestly miss the whole, cream colored, monitor setting on top of the computer setup, haha i remember the firts time my dad and mom took me into the elementary school before kindergarten, it was to register i think, my dad said "look at all the computers" and they were pretty much all windows computers with like, pre-windows xp at that time  when i was in 2nd grade they started replacing some of them with newer dark-gray colored dell computers with windows xp

i agree about old technology though  it really is mystical, and going through old computers feels like.... technology archeology  i actually used to love watching people on youtube who dumpster dived and found all kinds of old computers and would go through the harddrives and stuff to see what was on them  and.. i actually wanted one time to backup all the files from that old laptop onto my newer computer (this was about a decade ago that i wanted to do that) and well.... it's so old that there wasn't even really a way to do that  so we asked some people and they recommended a computer shop that could do it but it would have costed like 50 dollars

hmm, i think i might! but i'm not actually sure, i may have somehow deleted them at somepoint.. but if not, then there should still be folder on that laptop filled with clarisworks documents, a lot of them are my dad's too, i'll just have to look and see someday!  kidpix!! that's awesome  i don't rememeber where i got it, but i had it too, some version of it anyway and it had a slide show thing with it, so you could make a slide show out of your drawings, so i used it to make animations, and i would record over it  and i rememebre being disappointed that the minimum duration for each slide was only 1 second, because i wanted to make it more animation-y XP  we also had a random computer class workshop thing in 3rd grade, and the teacher for it showed us kidpix and gave everyone floppy disks of a color of they're choosing  when i took it to my grandmas house i wanted to roleplay with it and use it as some kind of secret code carrying device

tinykillerkitten In reply to MegaLoler [2016-04-28 03:10:14 +0000 UTC]

haha i love that "old game charm", although i didn't really play many games people typically get nostalgic for like nintendo games, i used to go on this program called "realarcade" or something and they had all these interesting games, one of them was panda craze which i think i may have told you about, but i also played like war plane games... and then later on games like animal crossing wild world, and rollercoaster tycoon... good stuff

oh gosh that game, that reminds me exactly of the stuff i remember playing with when i was really little, those old graphics and the music not to mention the character model haha, it's so... i can't even think of a word... it's so rounded   i wish i could remember the names of the ones i used to play on so i could show them i'm not even sure if they were downloaded, or games that came with the mac

that's a perfect way to describe it  before we moved we had a bunch of old cds that my parents had from the early 2000s, a lot of them just had old documents and photos and music but they were still so interesting to look at for some reason we actually went to a computer shop last summer to get all the files off my old laptop which had a broken screen and i spent hours digging through all the weird, weird things i had saved on there  i still haven't gotten my external hard drive fixed though, so i haven't seen any of my old photos for a very long time

ohh yeah i remember the slideshow function i forgot what i did with the slideshows, i think i made like photo albums for little characters i made, and i think i recall spending a lot of time working on a halloween slideshow using a spooky forest background that's really neat you were able to get the program just handed to you in class though, i would have been so jealous then    for some reason that reminds me of when i used to make new "spy" accounts on my computer with names like "agent meow" to store information about students at school in 5th grade or something ... which was basically just stupid conversations i overheard in class (but i still felt like a secret agent   )
