Seriously, please excuse me if this sounds awkward, but i've been following you for a long time You're actually one of my all time favorite artists! All your pieces feel very warm, very organic^w^ I would really like to ask you more about your drawing techniques, but i don't know where to begin All your stuff is just so gooodTwT

Yes your art is awesome!>w< Again, so in love with the atmosphere and how you shape the poniesX3 how do you select colors? I generally guess, but you seem to get a really nice, soft, almost dreamy look from your pallete and the way their colored!

i usually decide on some atmospheric color at the beginning, usually something like a yellow/orange or a blue/purple since those are the moodiest colors (for day/night anyway) and then pick the rest of my colors according. How exactly I then pick the colors is kind of hard to explain. I usually just think of the color i want, and the atmospheric color, and i shift the color i want to be more like the atmosphere. It's pretty feel-y, and is something i gained from practice. There are also layer effects like Overlay that can shift your colors in the right direction, and sometimes i'll use this at the end to "push" the colors far enough, but i think it's generally best not to rely on stuff like that!

so, if i may ask, what was the color mindset you had when you went to draw that one pic with mew™anon and Twi in bed facing toward the ceiling?

for that one i just kind went with a yellow/orange/pinkish sort of thing, but that one specifically was just kind of "warm" instead of an actual color haha. I don't really have a set process or a set single color for everything, sometimes i play around with it while im working on it!
