Have you watched the latest Rurouni Kenshin OVA? I just saw it it and while I loved the animation style, I was left a little disappointed!

Yes, I have!! I am disappointed as well! the fights were too rushed! There is not enough time to care about what is happening. If someone out of nowhere were to find this "ovas" (I don't know what to call them), I don't think they would have enough time to care about the characters. I don't think they would understand anything that's going on... It should have been a whole remake... Oh, well...

*Siiiigh* Yeah. I also didn't like how they made Kenshin seem so brutal while he was fighting Cho by blinding his eye! And they even had Shishio kill Usui?! Aaahh, how could they ruin this awesome chance to reboot the series by botching all these continuity things?
owo And I did see the trailer! I have high hopes! I've also been reading the updated manga chapters of Rurouni Kenshin! Though they're just an abridged version of the original they're still enjoyable. What do you think of Kenshin's new scarf XD?

Yeah, the keep changing Kenshin's personality... He is a very kind person, yes a bit tormented; however, he is not so gloomy. Though, if I remember correctly, Kenshin did hurt Cho's eye in the manga and in the anime as well, but not to the point of blindness.
I am reading the new manga as well! But I don't know... Everything is too rushed. I prefer the old one better. I just think of the new one as the film adaptation. Since you know the movie will be different and won't follow the original story, right?

Absolutely. It's impossible to condense the entire Rurouni Kenshin story into a single film. I would have liked that they made it into a trilogy and parceled it out.
1st movie could have been from the beginning to the beginning of the Shishio arc.
The 2nd movie could cover the Shishio arc.
And the final movie could cover the Jinchu arc!
