Awwwww, that's sad. Twitter kinda has message limits, description limits and many other types of limits so I always considered Deviantart more better to use than it. And Tumblr never felt like a good place for socializing to me. But it's your opinion. They are more user friendly though.

Twitter I only use to show art, I don't use it that much. I have programs that auto post for me when I post art elsewhere.

Tumblr is great because when someone reblogs your art, it shares it with everyone that follows them. DA doesn't do that. Unless someone goes through your favorites, art doesn't really share itself. Tumblr has a great setup for art sharing itself. I do miss comments and such and interacting with followers, but it takes ages comparatively to post art here and I don't have time considering how much I post elsewhere.

It sucks but DA just doesn't have an easy way to post for me

I'm not the best with social sites, so maybe I don't use Twitter/Tumblr to the fullest. What do you mean by programs that auto post for you?

DA does allow others to see your art and share it but only within groups. You need like a specific audience I guess. Maybe animation or YouTube groups would help. Though you either need to join the group so you can share the artwork there to get noticed more or someone else within the group can share it. But yeah, a bit too much work. I don't know how to get noticed for my art on ANY social media.

I do love communicating on here more than Twitter and Tumblr though. That's for sure. Tumblr is great for seeing art but Deviantart is much more organized. BUT DA just overwhelms you sometimes and obviously, it's a site meant for art. Really hard to stand out and get involved with many other type of people. (Well, it's easier to find posts on here at least.)

I'm sorry you have to leave. At least I'll see you on Twitter and Tumblr.

I'll still kick around. I check my notifications all the time! It's just dont have time to scan, photoshop, fill out details, and post artwork to DA. It's great for archiving and leaving comments and collecting art, but lacking in the sharing side of it. Exposure takes way too much effort on DA when other sites do it for you.

With my phone I can take a nice picture, upload it to Instagram, have a site ( ifttt.com ) post it other places for me and BAM! All of my followers on Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram see my pictures all tagged and ready with one action that takes less than 2 minutes. If someone on my tumblr reblogs my art, it is instantly shared wiht everyone who follows them! Most sites other than DA have systems set up to where people share your art for you and it works exponentially. If you want to put art online it's good to research what each site can offer you. ( Plus Tumblr allows you to make a custom site and you can use your own domain... which is already 100xs better than DA, even the paid for DA which is ridiculous.)

So I mean, if I get a large chunk of free time and think about it, I may migrate some stuff over here, but the payback is not nearly enough for me to do it now since it'll just sit in a gallery and get almost 0 feedback.

It sucks, but DA has fallen behind the curve and social media site are picking up the slack.

Okay, I can see that. (Tumblr is a REALLY good site for customization. But yeah, DA's site customization needs some work. I mean, it's still better than most sites but having to pay for certain things sucks.) DA does have an app... not as functional though. Have you tried it?

Does Tumblr really give you a lot of feedback? It looked like just people sharing pics to me but it look REALLY great artists

I get feedback from my stream mostly. Tumblr doesn't really have a comment system which I think is it's only flaw right now. BUT! I get 0 feedback on DA anyways, except for "cool" or "Neat." So I am missing out on nothing. DA's app is pretty bad. I think DA Needs to completely rethink how they do things if they want to compete, but it is pretty good for an art archival site.

Yup. It's unfortunate. You can at least ask questions to people and pm people on tumblr, but yeah. That's the one thing that sucks about Tumblr ignoring how organized it can be sometimes.
