You owe your backers from the Kick Start project an explanation of your absence and when you intend to honor your commitments--if ever. People sent you hard-earned money in good faith in exchange for services and to receive nothing with no updates and not responding to any emails or messages is reprehensible.
If you got in over your head, that's fine, but I think five years is plenty of time to complete those items you owe--or offer an explanation!
Life throws all of us curve balls, and if you have experienced some hardships, then I am sorry, but to ignore those people who supported you when you needed them is not the way to handle it.

Hi Michael, I hope all is well. I have sent you numerous messages/emails regarding my Kickstarter rewards but have yet to receive a response from your end. I pledged $1,145 for three rewards and have not received anything you promised, not even the respect and consideration we all deserve as backers. There are also many other backers that pledged hundreds of dollars and did not receive their drawings; have a look at the comment section of your project in Kickstarter. "I love art, and was so excited about having you do a painting... I have Never paid that much for any art, and it was a HUGE splurge for me and my family. To have never received anything from you and not even a response is heartbreaking. I understand you got in over your head, but to not complete so many of your highest priced rewards is really disheartening" You can make things right with a little effort.
