Hey! I'm glad you're interested! My comic is about the two characters from my gallery Ren and Anna and their weird adventures. I've just recently started to write everything and work on the character designs, so it may take a bit before I can put out the actual pages. I'm also using it as a learning experience to teach myself composition, construction, perspective, etc.

The main plot revolves around Ren and his mysterious ability to use magic unlike anyone else. Ren's main driving conflict is one with a childhood friend who was able to use magic in the same way he does, however his friend uses it at the expense of others and the world around him. Ren travels the world to essentially stop his friend at every turn; and that's what the story opens up to. When Anna is introduced it changes Ren's outlook and the path he's walked since he was a kid.

That's essentially the synopsis. The story will mostly consist of fun and comedic adventures with the overarching plot being touched upon every so often. A bit like Spice and Wolf. I plan to insert a lot of my personal philosophies and ideas into it in order to tell a story that's a bit cathartic for me personally. I hope it'll come out as a story everyone can enjoy!

You absolutely answered my question! I've never read Spice and Wolf myself, but I Think I get what you mean and it sounds like a cool ride! I wish you good luck and fun times with your project. Making comics is a great way to generally get better at drawing in my experience, so you'll learn a ton while doing it for sure!

There is no right or wrong way to do comics in my opinion, it's art after all, meaning it's all about different subjective views and what not. Just make it the way you feel like it should be according to your views and tastes just like you're planning to. Then people with a similar taste will enjoy the comic too, no doubt!
