I admit that I am a sherlock fan, but I assure you that I was not influenced by the character himself.
I was going for that archetypical intelligent yet dark character. A very general quality that is found everywhere. I was going to create a psychopathic character, but we seem to have plenty in our group...
( Had to look up cumberbatch. I feel guilty for not recognizing the actors name *rolls away in embarrassment* )

Oh, okay. : ) Just to be clear I didn't mean to imply that you'd had "copied" the character (or any character) in any way. Since seeing Dess's character application for the first time I had simply thought he reminded me of someone, and while I was on my Tuesday morning stalking session when I happened to wander over your profile and saw you being a member of a Sherlock group I realized he reminded me of The BBC's Sherlock looks-wise. You know, the messy hair and the serious expression. I just thought it might be a tribute of sorts. <: D
(Haha, no need to be embarrassed! The only reason why I know the guy's name myself is because a couple of my friends are such enormous Sherlock fangirls that it has been pretty much impossible to miss the name.
Ahhh, I see. It may also have to do with my style as well, since i lack creativity, some of my characters share close resemblance to one another. I really have to work on that. heheh, sorry <3
( At least you have friends who are interested in that fandom. All my friends are somewhere in the degrassi fandom. when i want to talk about mysteries, they want to talk about relationship dramas. I FEEL SO ALONE.)
