So, what's the idea behind people liking their character being swallowed by another character? Sorry it just confuses me.

It is generally a paraphilia or a fetish, and the reasons people like it varies from person to person.
For me and a lot of other people who like the whole swallowing and eating thing, it is about sadism, masochism and power. Sadomasochism and power are common sexual themes.
One creature eating another creature is like the ultimate way to overpower something else to some people. Some people get turned on by being overpowered by another person, some people get turned on when overpowering another person.
I don't see it this way, but sometimes people also see it as a loving act. Being inside another person's body is the closest you can physically be to them. They see the stomach as a safe warm place (which is unrealistic, but i can understand the appeal).
In the end, it is hard to justify something that is so weird. It is like how I personally do not understand why some people like putting their characters in nappies or making their character get tickled.

yes that is true but i find a lot of people are too nervous or shy to admit it, for fear of how others will judge them. i dont judge though, im like that whole "chef dont judge" commercial, again though, really nice artwork, it looks really cool
