I like that straightforwardness. Yes, I can tell that's what you're looking for. Give me some time. I'll process a commission document for you in a few days' time.

Hey there! Nice to meet you too. Oh, I wouldn't mind reading your works during my breaks and time off. Especially Β An Eizan out of water Β That sounds like a story I'd enjoy. I'll subscribe on your channels too. Β

That's really nice of you.
Don't get me wrong though.. while I greatly appreciate it, I've lost much of my passion for writing in the recent months, so it's very unlikely that I'll be able to continue my works.

Well even so I'll still enjoy what you have to offer. I learn from other's writing. I'm sure I can learn a thing or two from you..
There's times I lose my drive to write but in the end even if I don't continue with the same story, writing is a part of me. It might be the same for you. When I'm prepared for my current project to go public you could probably give it a read.

I'm glad to hear that. I believe that's my attitude towards writing as well for as long as I can remember. Writing is just a really lonely and unrewarding path for me, and I've been going at it for several years now. Maybe I'm just burnt out..
Eizan may be a rather amateurish work for my current standards, but ironically it may also be one of my better ones, because that was when I was still able to find joy in writing. Cross Mirage would be an accurate example of my current level of techniques.
Feel free to share the progress of your work with me anytime you like. I'm always intrigued with what other aspiring writers have to offer as well.

Unfortunately.. no, I'm seldom on DA. It's only by pure coincidence that I saw a character concept of Vivian from Proposphere, whom I follow on Facebook. She's a pretty cute character, and it's not often that I find another person who writes (rather, remotely serious in writing) commissioning anime-styled artworks. I do that as well, pretty often, and it brings me a lot of joy to see my characters fleshed out in artworks like that. Honestly, it's probably a major source of motivation for me to continue after all these years.
Oh a VN? That sounds intriguing. One of my artist acquaintances suggested for me to give VN-making a try, but since I have next to no clue on where to start on it, I didn't really give much thought to it. Looking forward to it then!

So where are you mainly, FB and Youtube? What's the best way to stay in contact with you?
You and me Miru are a rare few, haha. I'm delighted that you contacted me and thank you, I'm glad you find her cute too. I truly enjoyed creating her character and writing her personality as my story progresses. Sometimes "I" just want to hold her lol. Proposphere honestly brought her to life for me though and that's made my inspiration to continue with this VN all the more real. He's a really great person to work with and I appreciate all the effort he puts in his work. I couldn't agree more that it builds a sense of excitement when I see art of the characters I'm writing.
I became a fan of VNs since about a year ago. A simple way to tell a story is what caught my attention. Have you ever read one?
For me, I've been working in RPG maker since like 2003. As time went on I moved to the newer versions like XP, VX, and Ace. I'm currently creating this project in RMMV. (My first project in there.) The majority of my stories came those years I spent in the latter programs. This is my first project that I want to release to the world. So I just took my skills from all that and buckled downΒ to make my dream a reality. But I want it to be fun so I don't work too hard so I don't stress myself out. No deadlines, I write when I get the muse to.

I'm mostly on FB. This is my account:Β www.facebook.com/asakura.yuukiβ¦
I've read a couple of VNs. I actually love the VNs I've read, mostly Da Capo, but the reason I didn't really get into VNs in general is because of my lack of spare time. I absolutely love how VNs make use of so many elements to bring out the atmosphere of the story though; the artwork, voices, and of course, the MUSIC. With great storytelling, it's easy to tug on your heartstrings.
When you're having fun in the process, that's when the quality of your work is at its best. I guess that's the reason why I've been feeling that most of my recent works are lacking in something important, even though my skills have already improved by so much.
I'd love to remain in contact with you. Add me on FB if you'd like.

I added you on FB! Message me any time! You're a cool guy. I've never read Da Capo, I'll put it on my list. I have not read to many either. I have a few of them on my computer and when I find time I sit down and read. (Unless I get hooked then my head is glued to the screen every time I get off work.) Here's the list I have so far.Β vndb.org/u119804/list
If you do decide to give some a try down the road my top recommendations would be
1) Little Busters
2) Danganronpa 1&2 (If you like murder mystery.)
3) Steins'Gate (If you haven't seen the anime.)
I gained a lot of my inspiration from reading these novels too. The pull of emotion forces me to express my creativity. Only write when you feel the push or urge to else you're going to attach a negative connection onto your writing. I had a short series I wrote a while back. When I started making deadlines for myself frustration took over. It felt more like I "needed" to write which ultimately caused me to dislike the series all together.
However, looking back now today I still want to make a Light Novel of it. Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria gave me the inspiration for that a few years ago.

Write when you get the good spark. Even if it takes you years then you decide to come back. As long as it feels good as you do it you'll find the time more pleasant than stressful and lonely.

Unrewarding and lonely, I know that feeling also. I can see how you'd get burnt out.Β After sometime I went back and read my old works and enjoyed them enough to start up again. Β
I am a sucker for gangster crime genre so I enjoyed the bit of Eizan that I read. When I read I sort out techniques that others use that I find captivating so even in amateurish works (as you put it) I find gold in between. I liked what I read thus far.Β
Will do, I am currently building a VN. When I feel that I'm a great length in I promise to show you it.
Btw are you on Deviantart often?
