Hello!I'm M.M.I am a Comic Book Ink artist.
It's been my dream since I was twelve to draw comics. At the time, I wanted to do everything. I practiced my pencils, avoided the inks, jumped to the colors... but I realized that when I skipped the inks, I was missing a HUGE step. And that's why I am focusing on inks. Because shadows and highlights can either make or break a picture, and that's exactly all that inking is.
I am a self taught artist, outside of taking some art classes in highschool. I gain knowledge from critiques and books. Lots and lots of books. You will notice at the end of my Description, that all critiques are welcome. Only way to get better, right?
Right now, I just have my facebook page up. All photos posted there are watermarked, at 72 dpi and 8x10 or smaller. Credit is always given no matter where it's posted. When it's posted here on dA, they are at 150 dpi and 8x10. So if you would like to color something just for fun, let me know and I can send you a high res. Just remember to give credit where credit is due.

Hey, M.M.Β We recently discussed slip sheets, brush inking techniques ( e.g. feather-to-black with tapered lines), and ways of mixing brush and pen.Β All of it is covered to some extent in 's latest demo inking The Thing.Β

I'm looking at the comments and replies on your profile page:Β it seems to me that you're not replying to comments that others have left for you.Β Instead, you're putting your intended replies in the comment field.Β That is, you're leaving comments on your page for you.
In order for a reply to register at the other person's message center it has to be sent as a reply.Β That is, click the reply button under the icon of the person where they left a comment - that opens a dialog box.Β Type your reply in there, then submit.Β Β
When the reply is properly made, it should appear nested (indented) under the parent comment.Β If it's flush with it, then you commented, instead of replied.
