I'm confused by the term alternative beauty.
Everything i see here is the stereotypical definition of main stream beauty in the nude. There is nothing unique or alternative about any of what i see. The girls are certainly beautiful; an easy benchmark to achieve with nudity and women but I'm disappointed by the lack of originality. There is so much beauty to be found in naked women that don't fit the averages or standards of main stream imagery. I was hoping this site was one of the limited few willing to highlight that.

You know what, I care if people are thieves or original owners. At some point I've been hunting for thieves, even. Because this site is dying from them, but here I genuinely don't see anything suspicious. I understand your feeling though.
There is a real sham by the way, exploiting SG original content, it's not here on dA, but it does not give any credit to SG legit website like this deviant is doing.

And, of course, neither the models, nor photographers get any extra compensation for their work being displayed in an additional location.
This means that only the parent company is benefiting from this page, and I say it goes against the "community" environment that DA claims to be promoting...

We don't really know about compensation or not. From what I collected, SG is buying the photosets from the models, so they may not have any subsequent royalties, to know for sure we would have to check their contract, which we can't.
If the parent company benefits, the models benefit as they're gonna be able to keep working, also if some photographers wanders about this page and notices a great model, it could become an opportunity for the model as well. I mean it's only networking and growing on the Internet, nothing new here.
Even if there are no extras, I am gonna need help to see why it would go against the community environment. People are still gathering here and there on the SG group page, and sharing the SG style and touch. There are SG models using dA to post their current work, even if dA is not a major network anymore. Sounds like community to me. Even the affilated group page says people can use these photos as base for fanarts.
Everything is gonna be about money and resources, so if what you have in mind is the internet utopia, where everything is free here and now, this is as good as it gets. Also deviantArt kissed goodbye to that utopia a long time ago.
