I've been secretly playing around with sculptris and if I have enough fun with it, I might move to blender ( which I can export sculptris into I think? )
The only thing I don't get is applying textures to a model correctly. Was there a tutorial that really helped you figure it out or something? 0:

Yes you can! I even tried just now. There's an export OBJ Button for that. One thing you should know it's Triangle (Tris) Base model
About the textures, I mostly hand-painted it with a Graphic Tablet to ease my work-flow
UV mapping it first of course.
Tho there is a Paint in Sculptris option there, You just need some Custom Brush that's all.
