Good to see you're still painting in oils!
Lately I've been listening to BBNG. Albums iii and iv. Last year I got a turntable as a gift and have been slowly adding to the old vinyl I had kicking around from 'back in the day'.

Oh man, thank you so much. We all have the holiday blues and dislike commissions even if they pay. It's all fodder for art. My time lapse digial paintings would look dazed and confused no doubt. Yours are instructional. If it's okay with you I'd like to show them to my young students. Otherwise I'm content and pleased to be teaching digial art in the new year.
Some lovely old familiars on your list, such as Stan Getz, Built to Spill and Tenacious D. I have a lot of art to do in a short and busy span of time. In other words I needed new music. I'll definitely cut and paste the rest of your list and search it on the internets. In return I have only to offer Braid, Imaginary Cities, Zeus and the goat rodeo sessions with yoyo ma, as well as Bahamas... so honest and beautiful [link] . Oh, and a classic oldie to revist: King Cob Steelie. All the best to you and yours over the holidays. XO

it a slang from the 70's like gnarly that i had hijack from my friend who says it a lot because i got tired of using cool, nice, and awesome all the time because it might make the artist feel like you just commiting for the hell of it and you don't really mean it and you're welcome.

Pricing your own art can be a bit tricky. When someone asks for a painting from me i usually ask what size canvas and what i am painting. You need to know your own speed a educated guess at how long it will take you. this was hard for me too do but i got better at it over time. I like too get a small down payment on the project before i begin i think it adds a bit of trust too the whole deal and helps you afford supplies. Now i work at 15$ a hour some people work at cheaper rates its up to you, so lets say it takes me 4 hours too complete the painting 60.00 plus supplies. Now i like to keep things high, the way i see it is if something is high in value then there is a good chance the person will take care of the painting and that is how i feel about my art but that is my opinion. as your painting/drawing keep in mind the time and figure out your own hourly wage.
Before i figured out how too price things i sometimes would simply tell the person too pay me in whatever they wanted too sometimes they would pay me more then i had anticipated puts the pressure on them.. hope that helps

i asked what he thought was fair and he said he doesnt know and my friend said start high at 50 $ then they will usually say i can only give you this much.... so yeah but what do you think of my artwork is it worth that much? i don't know i spent 2hrs on the one wolf picture so far and am doing one other wolf also a backround even some computer images so i think 50$ sounds good but what do you think?
he is using it for a debut album he is selling with his band.

You have that Anime style goin on i used to draw that stuff a lot back when i was in High school. You remind me of how i used to think back then, when i was clueless about the quality of my art i am still a bit clueless today to me my whole gallery is priceless lol...Some of your artworks are masterpieces you have the potential to create amazing stuff. But my opinion does not matter much the important thing is this Person likes YOUR art he must like your style and creative side. its hard to tell if 50$ is good i would need to know more information about how your going about painting this size/supplies/time. maybe post a pic on your site so i can see how its coming .
From past experiences I have done some artwork for some bands and ill tell these musicians are always looking to get things cheap but then again these bands were just some kids playing around... If this band is serious and feels your art will help them then they will certainly pay the price
