Thank you so much, I try the best I can, but I seem to still be missing the knowledge of how to make the colors look more professional than I am currently able too.

No problem! Yeah, it's not easy I can say. I use mostly flat colors in a vibrant manner. 
I draw mostly humanoid monsters like tootheyes for instance. If you're not 
familiar with them.

Yee! They're quite popular on DA believe it or not. 
The most well known out of the bunch is the Xynthii species.
They have their own lore too and interesting anatomy. 
That's why I love them so much.
