for sure, I think the reason I picked it was so I could read some older writing that is in traditional. This year I'm most likely going to try to learn both at the same time though. Like every time I learn a new character learn the traditional as much as the simplified.

i am reading 西游记 at the moment, but since I know only about 500 characters it seems like a lifetime of work to get through

I'm just going to attempt "The Art of War" for my senior thesis. I know what you mean though, it's a lifetime of work to truly understand it. You'd agree though that it's completely worth it
