Hi there, I have a question, with a team as large as Equestria at war, and as ambitious as the mod is, do you think it would be a good idea to make it a stand alone game?
though I for my part suck at RTS games I prefer TBS games like Civilization V though I have been eyeing HOI IV for quite awhile.

I don't think this would be a good idea. Even though the EaW team is pretty big, there are not that many professional programmers. Paradox Script is easy to learn and code with, HoI4 creates a good platform for modding and realizing your gaming ideas. It would be hard to assemble a team of skilled programmers to make a non-profit strategy game from scratch, so that it wouldn't be an overly ambitious flop.
