Rock on. You see the 90 Tii Vert, I picked up? Work, galore, but still kicks the ass-end out at 80!
Not that I've done it on a public street, mind you.

Yeah they are. At D1 USA 09 I saw one drift. It had a V8 from a Corvette I beleive. I have to dig up the photos on my PC. I was even more amazed to see it out on the street after the drifting was done. Bashed up and duct taped. D1 USA 09 was a bit dissapointing overall. Anaheim was very unorganized. At least some of the grassroots cars like that FC rocked.

It's up with a few other photos from that day. It lookeed like it was going to rain. But luckilly it didn't. I'm thinking that the FC I snapped might be an early vesion of Mike Essa's. But I'm just not sure. Thinking about it's LS engine. I'd like to drop an LS9 in an FC. Then go to R Magic for the wide aero.

Ah ok, that makes sense then. Mike Essa's FC is pretty sweet, I'm a rotary fan tho.

I like pistons more, but that's just cause of my engine favs. RB, SR, EJ, etc... But rotaries have so many advantages, high revving, high power to displacement ratio. I explained how a rotary works to a friend and he just can't understand how. Just asking, but have you looked at Mad Mike Whiddet's RedBull RX-7 from New Zeland. That one is a monster FD. Imagine that power in your FC.

Yeah, I love RBS, SRs, 1/2JZ etc. But Rotaries are my favorite.

Anything that from the factory has a 7500 redline is a plus for me. Did you check that Madbul Redbull FD I told you about.

MusicRonin In reply to CobaltGriffin [2009-10-20 04:05:54 +0000 UTC]
Yeah I've seen it before I remember when they first unveiled it. And it's a 9k redline

I'm such a noob when it comes to rotaries. Most of what I know comes from online research and barely any comes from when I play MaxTune 3. Mazdas are deadly in that game.

I was thinking about getting an FC or an S14 when the engine in my Legacy gives out. Or getting an engine and trans from an STI. I currently have a bad engine from a rebuilder that didn't want to admit and pay for their mistakes.

Both great cars. FCs take more practice and skill to drift tho.

Thanks for the tip and adding me to your watch list. I've even had the thought of drifting my Legacy. But to mod the suspension for it would take more than I've got at the moment. K-Sport is the only company that offers a full coilover setup for the Gen 1 Legacy. I'll also be adding pics of a scale FC and FD I own tomorrow.

Thought about it. I'll see as the weather gets colder here in Reno. But an FR setup on my Legacy is really tempting. The only thing that hinders any street based tuning here is that the racetrack is 35 or so miles away. I know that where you are it must be easier to go to the track. Right?

That commute for racing makes mine look like nothing. Still it's inconvient fro anyone. Looking at your photos you and your friends have a nice place to drift. Keep on burning rubber. Just a quick question on rotaries. I've heard that the newer Renesis in the RX-8 is not as strong or comfortable being boosted as the previous generation is. Is there any truth to that? I am aware of the torque problem and the oil burning issue that RX-8s have. I saw one hum by me today and it sparked the thought of owning one. I thought that I'd ask you because of your rotary knowlege.
