You know you've said to me a lot that you believe simplicity is the key when creating OCs and I'm wondering if you think that all complexity is bad? I think there are different types of stories. For example with just the stories I have, I have a big epic and then lots of other much smaller ideas. The big epic is very complex, but to be honest I enjoy that. I love emersing myself into the world I've created. I kind of feel the smaller ideas are all a bit... Well bland, but also I have a certain style that I don't even know if I really like as it's not high quality. But not all stories can be epics, not all stories can be top quality! Different stories is a good thing, and I like to believe there's an infinate amount of them in the world.
Anyway, so is all complexity bad?

Of course not. I really enjoy Game of Thrones and that's one of the most complicated stories I have ever read. There are sooooo many characters in the books with all different family backgrounds so you have to pay close attention. I really enjoyed that.Β
But when it comes to my own drawings and stories, I just want to keep them simple and relatable. I work a lot and study on the side. I'm getting married soon and I am working on the house I'm going to live in after I'm married. So I have a very busy life right now. I keep my characters and stories simple for two reasons: 1. I don't have time to dive into complicated storylines. 2. Keeping things simple means other people get to know my oc's faster and easier. That makes them easily relatable which is a big factor for helping people to like them.Β
Different stories are good. Great even. And i'm happy there are so many to choose from!
