amazing woodwork. Just absolutely beautiful. I saw on your website a detail photo of a lock miter on one of your pieces. How well does that kind of joint hold over a box miter?

Well, since it's not a plain 45° miter it has a lot more surface for contact and glue and it would probably hold good, but I also added some dowels ([link] ) just to be sure!
And it hasn't happen anything to it yet

Thank you, I am getting ready to start beekeeping and plan to make some of my own wooden ware (the "bee boxes"). They typically use a box joint (may be called a finger joint too, I think). When I first asked the question to you I didn't have a table saw for doing an dado work so I was looking for an other method using a router. I have discovered the locking miter from you here.
Well this past weekend I got a new table saw for the shop. Its a Ridgid R4511, has a granite top. [link]
After building up a few bee boxes I am going to try and make a new mantle for our fireplace, any suggestions?
