Oh God
Dude your stuff is amazing. Awesomeness. I'm busy teaching myself 3D, I hope I'll be this good. I also live in Johannesburg, I'm in Highlands North.
So what do you do? Are you in advertising?
Love your work. All the best!

Thanks man
I work as a 3d artist at Luma Animation. We work in Softimage. Which package are you learning?

WOW. You guys are super awesome. I just had a quick look at your website. That's you on the picture right? Nice set up.
I don't have any money so I'm on Blender Open Source baby, but with that said, I'm learning 3D as a whole. When it comes edge loops, N-Gons, model in quads as much as you can and avoid tri's, clean topology...all of that pretty much applies everywhere. And in the end it's the artist (like you) and not the software that makes good art.
Once my work is sort of there, I'll upload.
I have to meet more 3D artist, being solo sucks. Keep it up!

Okay cool! Yeah we have a few "previously" blender artists here, 3d is 3d i suppose, its just learning where the buttons and shortcuts are really. And no that's not me on the right. He's one of the compositors/designers, a different breed haha

Do you sculpt or model your cars? I would like to know the process of making one of your vehicles as I am about to model my own car soon.
My plan is to model it in Zbrush then re-topologize then import into maya for animating for compositing reel.

Hey, I wouldn't recommend modeling a car in zbrush unless it's a concept car of your own design. Zbrush now has some awesome hard surface stuff but Maya straight out the box will give you the result you want. It seems a waste to do it inzbrush and then retopo it anyway?

Hey man, added you after seeing your work on a couple forums. I'm a 3d modeler too, and spend a lot of time doing cars (due to my passion for cars). I think I'm pretty good, but not on your level yet. Love your work, and would love to talk to you sometimes about your rendering/lighting techniques.

A model that'd really like to see is the Nissan Skyline GTR-34. It is difficult to find really good models made ββof this wonderful car... Factory model is flawless, but when modified does not always look so beautiful...
I looked all your works and you have a great aesthetic sense and proportion (very clean! ), so I think this model would be gorgeous done for you.

Thanks for the kind words, I really have thought about doing the R34gtr, problem is its been done to death , similar to the Audi R8...

I had a little contact with 3D, but long ago...I imagine the immense time consuming to modeling a car with so much detail that you do...anyway, I'd love to someday see the R34.

Stunning stuff, man! Detailing of the model is makes my cry... not talking about rendering qualities. Sick!
