Its hard to explain, and its only something that I've more recently accomplished but when you do art, don't try to Make something. Dont pick up a piece of paper and say "Im going to draw a profile of my favorite cartoon character". Dont even think about what your doing, just let your mind wander and let yourself create something. Not only this but lets say you did end up creating something basic, like a landscape. Dont be afraid to take some risks and just express yourself! maybe that means making the mountains a crazy color or throwing in some random abstract shapes!
