No problem. Besides ... I thought your rendition of the Klingons going after V'ger was fantastic. I wouldn't exactly call stating the obvious a kindness.
So that was done with Blender, eh? I may have to look into that.

Well, the ship components were built (in assembled form) in Blender. Blender is only the start of my assembly line.
I took those components as .obj files, and then converted them in a program called Reallusion 3DEXChange 5.5 PRO (updated to version 5.51). Then, I took the converted components and assembled them in another program called Reallusion iClone 5 PRO (also version 5.51). Because the components were large enough, and their central points were positioned as they were in Blender, they just kinda fell into place in iClone. All I had to do was drag each converted file to the center of the grid in iClone, and they fell into place.
Then, within iClone, I was able to texture, attach the components, and finalize the ships. In iClone is where I do the actual animation and rendering.
But, Blender itself is a powerful (and free) modeling and animaton program. I just haven't dabbled into the more advanced aspects of modeling and animating (let alone texturing) in Blender.
Now, if I can just improve V'ger itself.
My next project after I finish my Enterprise vs. K't'inga battle, will be to retexture the USS Enterprise refit. See, the textures I put on it have the hull lights natively in the images. When I tried to photoshop them out, I was still left with remnant artifacts...outlines of the light sourcing, if you will. What I plan to do is use my Eaglemoss Enterprise model as the new texture source, since it is not lit up. This way, I have a clean texture source, I can add on the Azteca hull patterns I downloaded off the net, and then add the glows back in so that they aren't so bright.
