If Clark Kent lived in Gotham City rather than Metropolis and worked for the Gotham Gazette with Vicki Vale, how well of a reporter would Clark be for the Gazette?
Could he thrive, and more importantly survive, while living in Gotham?
What would his reactions be when he sooner or later knew about the mysterious Batman?
If Clark decided to become a super hero, made his own costume and made his heroic debut as Superman one morning as he prevents Riddler from robbing an experimental device belonging to Bruce Wayne's company, what would everyone's reactions be to seeing the Man of Steel for the first time? What would Bruce Wayne (Batman)'s thoughts on Superman be once he returns the device back inside his company?
To note: This new alternate universe scenario will occur during Batman's first year as a vigilante and with a version of Clark Kent, the soon-to-be-upcoming-hero-Superman, who never went to Metropolis, but make his stay at Gotham instead.

It all depends on his parents Superman is who he is because of John and Martha. Would they still be from Smallville? Was Clark brought up in Kansas and moved to Gotham? Or were John and Martha from Gotham, brought Clark back there? Did he land in Gotham?Β
Originally Superman was more aggressive fighting Gotham like abusive husbands, crooked landlords, the mafia, and corrupt politicians. So it could be that he started out that way, again, and as he became more experienced and popular became less aggressive and violent with criminals. Maybe Gotham would be what Metropolis became. Clean, safe, hopeful.Β
It would be fun to see Clark interact with Jack Ryder. Or see what happened to Metropolis with out a Superman. Would Luthor be in control? Would Metropolis fall into Gotham level chaos? Would Lois become a super vigilante? Would Batman move to Metropolis?Β
And, as much as Frank Miller sees them never working together because they are so opposite, I see Batman returning to Gotham after all his training and travels and seeing a partner. The vow he made to his dead parents would probably prevent him from just giving it over to Superman. However he may be less drastic with his actions. Maybe they'd become a Yin/Yang thing. Superman fights the giant threats while Batman fights street level crime. Superman's powers allow him to be less violent while Batman does what has to be done for the greater good. Superman is the Lawful good while Batman is the chaotic good.

Aquaman AU Questions: What would happen if Orin was born with brown hair instead of blonde hair (Atlanteans for a long time had been superstitious towards blonde haired Atlantean babies no thanks toΒ Kordax Β who they saw as deformed and would abandon the infants on the ocean floor) and was born and raised in Atlantis alongside his mother,Β Atlanna , the queen of the kingdom?
What happens ifΒ King Trevis Β didn't kill himself and raised Orin (who wouldn't been Aquaman in any other universe) as his own? What happens if he and his son both knew about the latter's real father from Atlanna once Orin grows up?
What happens if he's MORE dedicated and determined to defending Atlantis, and in some cases, mostly the ocean, than the rest of the world? Would it be likely that he'll fight alongside other heroes against big threats to the planet IF those threats attempt to rule over or destroy Atlantis? Could he also be the heroes and the other surface worlders' enemy too sometimes?
Finally, what if Orin meets his true father,Β Atlan Β soon after his coronation? Soon after he becomes the new king of Atlantis?
Note: This scenario is based on the Aquaman story,Β "Aquaman: The Atlantis Chronicles" . Specifically,Β issue seven of that series .
