Well, it depends on the context. sexual assault can be considered many things. I heard of a story of a cop being suspended because he touched one of his female colleagues' shoulder (just to get her attention to talk, as I do with many people I know).
I'd prefer being asked for permission before being kissed, of course,although my boyfriend doesn't 8unless I'm annoyed). I was kisse without permission about 3 years ago aand I slapped the guy on the face, but I wouldn't consider that a sexual assault. he'd been hitting on my in the college party and he was a tad drunk, but I got him what he wanted.

I guess you're saying that because Ed seems to be pulling Winry. and even though they look young in the images I don't think of this as an assault, especially considering their feelings and whatnot.

Yes, the thing about the policeman being charged of sexual harrassment was an exaggeration...oh well.
YES, drunkenness is no excuse for overstepping the limit. People can do really stupid stuff when drunk, but we should still be able to NOT act like total beasts - or at least most people ought to fall face-flat on the ground when they've reached that point! xD

My guess is this isn't their first kiss anyway (despite the automail arm, which indicates they're under 17; fanfiction can go to any lenghts, thankfully) so it's perfectly normal behavior. I know I'm like that; sometimes I'm in no mood to even talk to my boyfriend (when I'm studying he can get really annoying) and I even push him or scold him into going away. Sometimes he listens to me...sometimes he kisses me. XD or massages, or bites (gently), or tickles. Gaaaah!!
Y'know,those spontaneous, passionate kisses are the best...they're such a thrill! When you're not expecting, and if from someoen you love or are attracted to, they're really awesome. Goose-bump inducing, actually, when performed with intention and know-how.
or even smooches can be pretty fullfiling sometimes. us women are tricky things. Sometimes we push boys away and all we want is a hug or a kiss. I do that quite often actually

A few things have happened since we last talked. My new laptop fucked up and was out of action for weeks, and the only way Tam( my mum's boyfriend) could have fixed it was by factory reset. That meant that all my data, programs, writing, pictures, EVERYTHING was deleted. I have got most of it back now, but I was pissed off none the less and had to re-write a few documents all over again. I also got another fricking CAT scan. My last one was last year, and for my lungs. This one was for my neck...for some reason. I am sick all the exams, blood tests, and other crap I get almost every time I go for an appointment. I am also hoping to go see the new "Underworld" film this week.

That is why I think it is best not to get drunk in the first place.

Well, I think it may stem from the fact that I am uncomfortable when it comes to intimacy. I do not like kissing and cuddling all the time. Well, cuddling is ok, but as for kissing, I’m not that keen. I am just quite protective when it comes to my body, so that is why I usually respond with violence (and well, I am a bit of a germaphobe, due my borderline OCD tendencies). Sometimes, howevr, I want a hug, and I do not get it. Like, whenever I am feeling depressed, I go to my best friend, tell him, and he always tries to cheer me up, though never with a hug, which I sometimes need. As I say, "the smallest action can make the biggest difference".

Ugh, computers have been such a nightmare lately...haven't been able to afford a new one with all the latest expenses, so my sister borrowed me her netbook. It does the basics, but it's so limited despite being recent (like a year old). So I know how ya feel there. @__@
I also need to catch up on some routine exams... thee hee
I need to get my back checked, hurts like hell these days. And I also need to save up for new lenses, eyeseight worsened in the last year or so...gah.
Y'know, you need those medical exams anyway...better safe than sorry. They're a pain to have to do, but at least you're being monitored.

Yes, I agree. Sometimes I drink socially (or, hey, because i really do like the taste of some drinks - the sweet ones!). I seldom get drunk on purpose, unless I'm pissed off. But that's rare, because it's stupid. I just like feeling the buzz.

You know, I understand what you mean about the hug thing... Trust me, that's women for ya. sometimes we don't want anyone around, sometimes we need people to listen...sometimes we need a good hug. When you need one, just say it: "Could you hug me? I need a hug." there's no shame in it, and it's such a sweet thing. Friends are for that.. or boyfriends.
well, your germaphobia you'll just have to work on at a ceertain extent. just remember - your immune system isn't THAT weak (otherwise you'd live in a bubble, dear), and most of the stuff out there you've already come in contact with, so it's mostly harmless. it's fantastic how our bodies renew themselves over and over again, leaving behind little traces everywhere. All the world in contact, all the time, anywhere; made of the same organic materials. Fascinating!
Of course, you have to demand hygiene from the person physically contacting you. That's MANDATORY, unless it's a very sweaty boyfriend/husband/whichever from a recently exerted activity, knowwhatimean? ;D
The intimacy "problem" is somewhat normal. Some people like touching more, others are a little more reluctant. But trust me, we all need warmth from other human beings. Did you know that a baby that is fed and clean will die eventually, if it senses nobody elses' body heat and skin? That's how much we need each others! Eventually you'll meet someone who you WANT to cuddle with, who you WANT to kiss - you might even want to be kissed right out of the blue. It's fun. It's a game, and a part of our lives, and it makes us so happy. but I hear ya there on the kissing part...I try to avoid long kisses when my guy's beard is SCRATCHING the hell off my chin like goddarn sandpaper. O__O

it's okay to be protective of yourself. You should. but once you've began trusting someone, more physical contact is also a part of the process of opening up. It's a primal way of establishing special bonds, so we like it out of instinct.

so yeah, when you feel down just ASK you friend for a hug. Or your mom, or whoever the heck you feel like asking. They'll understand and comply, even if they're like, "Okay...why the sudden urge?"
