Very long story. Maybe I'll share more when I get home. Got 5 hours to go on the clock.

January: Hours were cut a lot at work. Spent a lot of time helping family out with stuff. Began getting serious about organizing for the Centipede and Fire Saga. Nearly got freelance work helping some burrito restaurant with its graphics and online photography; until a gal that worked there (but wasn't the owner) stopped me, because she thought I was only trying to help them out so I could flirt with her. I told her she was nuts; but she kept me from getting the freelance gig. Her and I haven't spoken since.
Meanwhile, I was making Lee a Ciem costume for her birthday in April. The Forfica Mk. I from Ciem: Ash Cloud. Mask and all. I also started (and still haven't quite finished) a Ciem / Anarteq: Kahoopiliana short story, which both sets the stage for Ash Cloud and also discusses briefly the origin for the Forfica suit.
February: Still working on Lee's suit. Got a job as a gate guard about 45 minutes away. Regular job hours were cut dramatically. This is due to a new company rule that limited receiving to only 160 man-hours per week. They had four full time workers and three part-time workers at the time. They had to reduce the full timers from 40-hour weeks to 36-hour weeks, just to make sure there were enough hours for the part-timers to still have four hours a week each. Also, Chris Wilson from BET / VH1 turned into a total jerkwad.
He fell for some propaganda piece blaming Trump for something that wasn't Trump's fault. And got nasty with me when I set the record straight. Threatened to block me if I didn't adhere to the narrative he wanted to believe. So I blocked him first. I deleted nearly everything online in my collection related to him, or to the original Blood Over Water miniseries. Which YouTube was copyright claiming anyway, because they didn't believe that I'd acquired rights to the music used in the soundtrack.
As for the character based off of him? The Purge-Flare? I rewrote the post-Vindication timeline to give him a grisly demise - after having him backslide into villainy and then be murdered out of revenge by the Sapphire King. His body is then shipped on a rocket to Venus, because authorities view him as too repugnant to be allowed to decompose into the Earth's soil. (Yeah, that's what happens when I get angry and start writing.)
March: Kahoopiliana got half-done. The gate guard job evaporated after only two days of me being on the job. My HR lady got fired after a company buy out. And therefore, no one knew of my schedule situation, and I didn't get any hours. The Tariff Wars started, and China retaliated against its own citizens with a VPN crackdown. (Which is why earlier in August, there were riots in Hong Kong.)
At any rate, they took Sunny away from me. And you never realize how much you're in love with someone until they're ripped away from you. I still worry about her. Last I heard from her, she's forced to lead an extremely boring and monotonous life - and wishes I were there to spice it up.
I also discovered the Girls Incarcerated Facebook page, and joined their Instagram circles. I'm now sort-of friends with Brianna Guerra, who's helped me with my research for the Centipede and Fire Saga more than anyone else I met. I've also sort-of befriended Paige McAtee, though she's a lot worse off financially. And others.
Lost Sandi Sellner (second Alpha 5 suit actress) as a friend. She started virtue signalling some dude in an awards show at a dress, after also virtue signalling how "Christian" she is. So I gave her a little Immanuel Kant on categorical imperatives, and also asked how thumbing one's nose at Deuteronomy 22:5 and encouraging others to do the same constitutes love. She asked for all sorts of opinions from others - but then claimed not to be asking for them, only from me, because I was the only one who didn't play along with her virtue-signalling gimmickry.
I dared to address the elephant in the room of virtue signal self-contradictions. Apparently, Socrates would've been put to death even today. Only today, they wouldn't have made him choose his poison. They'd've simply beaten him to death, then made excuses.
Hours picked up at work, after one of the full timers transferred to another department. Then, another one went on medical leave. I almost became full time to replace him.
April: Finished Lee's costume, then got it to her before her birthday. She loved it. But then...got into a lot of weird stuff. And became extremely narcissistic and rather nasty. More on that later.
Began doing more work on developing Anarteq mythos.
May: My one brother got out of school - barely. But then got himself into a ton of trouble right away.
June: Started planning a trip to Boonville and Evansville, to get the pictures I'd need for writing Ciem: Inferno. Life got hectic. My one brother continued to make trouble for himself.
July: That one said brother got himself kicked out of the house. He immediately began a spree of conning one household after another, always getting booted and then conning someone else. Also, nearly got himself caught driving without insurance. Lee started really getting snippy with me, and often twisting my words and intentions. Got tired fast of having to defend myself. Talk about a dagger through the heart!
I made some modifications to my van, so it now has blindspot mirrors and golden wiper blades. Sort of makes it feel like an Iron Man Van.
From the 30th of the month through to the 1st of August, I was in Boonville and Evansville. Got most of the shots I needed. Everyone liked the idea of my project - except for the Boonville City Hall, Maple Grove Cemetery, St. Vincent's Hospital, and Boonville Middle School. They liked their little close-knit setup down there; and feared that increased tourism from fans of my work in the future might have an adverse impact on their comfortable status quo. "Don't make our town famous!"
August: Finally got past the moderation queue at Mod the Sims. I'm also working on getting the timeline for Gerosha fixed, renewing my IBR, and beginning chapter setups for Inferno. Had to finally block Lee. She got super nasty after I went on Instagram and exposed that Greta in the news as a total fraud. Apparently, that child somehow has a cult following now. And I dared to step on the cult's toes.
I'm now in communication with Brianna, Paige, Tiffany Kristler, Leeariara Stokes, and Courtney. Still haven't heard from Carli, though I did befriend her mother Michelle on Facebook. Unfortunately, Michelle had to report in for a drug violation conviction. So she'll be gone a while. Haven't found online anyone from the old staff that featured on Girls Incarcerated. Except for Jacie Minnick - but she's on Twitter, which I refuse to use.
Brianna gave birth to Cartier finally. However, Cortez went and did something stupid and is now in jail. So Brianna's gonna have to put off the wedding plans for a while. I made her a Christmas ornament, and now I need an address from her so I can send it there and make sure she gets it. It's a bulb that contains a sculpter's clay replica of the Gerosha Stone - the most unique seashell in my collection.
I've also met several old Power Ranger actors on Instagram. I seem to get along best with Nakia (Tanya from Zeo and Turbo). They're a lot friendlier than the crowds I normally work with, for some reason.
In addition to everything else I've just mentioned, I'm also planning a trip at the end of September to Sault Ste. Marie, for Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo. I've made his AirBNB house in Sims 4, and uploaded it here and to Mod the Sims. It's surprisingly really popular. I also made a periscope; but my mom suggested getting an underwater film camera for the underwater shots at 4 Mile Beach.
Before she got locked up again, I was advising Aubrey Wilson on Instagram on Yankee Candle Frangrance Spheres, so she'd never have a candle issue again like on the show. Experimented with several of them myself. But apparently, they use chemicals for the Apple Pumpkin Spice spheres that are modeled after real apple tree pollen - which my mom's side of the family has allergies to. So lo and behold, I found myself allergic to my own scenting experience, and had to throw the beads out!
On MTS, I'm currently uploading the Swappernetters' Twirlflame Trio of Tabitha Pang, Tobias Reno, and Sarah Ruben. Trista Clarion's house post-renovation will also be uploaded. I've uploaded several Into the Future items, and also will be uploading items related to from other Sims 3 packs.

(Oh my god, I wrote a WHOLE thing in response to this and it disappeared by accident! I'll try to put down what I can remember as best as I can!)
I said, and I'll say again, that that is quite a story. A hell of a lot to go down in the last year.
The job stuff? That sucks, especially since it seems to be part of the system now. Everyone tries to get the most out of the fewest people for the least amount of money. Though it's probably always been this way and things have just become more and more eviscerated as time goes on. The side hustle as a way of life, that's no good.
As foe the people in your life... there's a lot of chaos there, of course it's going to weight on your mind and your heart. You can't really blame yourself for the bad decisions others in your life makes, you can only try to help them make the right decisions. And it seems like you have a good wellspring of information to draw from. But I hope it comes from a place of guidance, not superiority or authority.
I assume you've seen Spider-verse, right? When we see Gwen's story, there's a song by Elliphant playing in the background. The lyrics say "I have to be like a steady ship on the raging sea." I think that's you. You're in a storm, you're trying to keep moving forward and bear the brunt of the waves. But you also have to navigate, and change course,. I'm sure I'm telling you shit you already know, but maybe the visual is helpful. I've always liked Bruce Lee's "be water, my friend" and I try my best to be, and while I still get frustrated and overwhelmed, it is something to help give me focus. Simple tends ot be better, I think.
Seems like you're getting creative work done as well, trying to keep pace with that, always good. I actually had the same concern about a location I wanted to use for a story as well, it's perfect for a movie but it can only work there, and I could totally understand the owners not wanting to go along with it. Since it's all conceptual at this point, I'm just going to forge ahead for now. Who knows if it'll all come together anyway? Best not to worry about it until it comes to it. Normally I try to mix and match, create new things. Reality comes with complications.
Been working on Keeley as well, I feel like I might almost have enough for the pilot script, but making all the elements work together is another issue. I've seen enough B/B+ pilots and stories to feel the pressure to get it totally right.

I do seek to be a guide. But all too often, no one wants to be told that they're steering their ship straight into the rocks. And when I do anyway, they want my blood. So I have to jump ship. Again and again and again. And let them crash. Gets exhausting.

Hey man! Long time, no word. Say, since you're into ship designs at times, I was wondering if you'd be interested in attempting some sketches for the Chen from The Gerosha Chronicles.
- Submarine aircraft carrier
- Shaped like a giant clam
- Tan exterior
- Sort of a parody of the SHIELD Helicarrier
- Interior of bottom and top floors' walls set up in the shape of the Chinese symbol for the Shen (Chen) clam monster.
- Hides in the Gulf of Mexico.
- Run by an organization called SCALLOP (Security-Centric Alliance Lending and Learning Of Phaelites.) Theme colors are Blanched Almond and Steel Blue.

Oh man, it's been so long since I did ship designs, I need an excuse to get back into them.
It's certainly an interesting idea for a craft, not something that would ever have come into my head... the idea of a submerged aircraft carrier is pretty cool. I'm kind of into this techno-organic thing at the moment, but I'll try to keep it from being too advanced.

Okay. Pretty much just a clam-shaped Helicarrier knockoff, except it goes underwater rather than high in the sky.

I actually designed something really neat.. if you don't want it, I'll take it! Lemme finish up this sketch and I'll scan it in

BulldozerIvan In reply to Neumatic [2017-11-08 04:30:17 +0000 UTC]
Amazing! Better than any design I could come up with! I'll see if I can use that template for a colored / 3D render. And if I upload an image to the wiki, I'll make sure to link to this original sketch, and give you credit. It uses space better than my initial design too.

I'm glad you like. I was a bit worried it would be too futuristic, but... it works. I was thinking there might be thrusters on the bottom, big fan type things... think a massive version of a three-head shaver, and articulated propellor wings sprouting from the back to give this thing an insane amount of mobility (and the bottom shaver dealie could give it hovercraft capabilities)

This was my first attempt at a render. It...looks more like a roided-out football stadium than a surfacing futuristic ship.
Now I have a better idea of dimensions, and can always tweak scale if I need an illusion.

Definitely got that sports stadium look. I would have no idea how to render this thing in the Sims.

Sims won't be able to get it an exact match. But if I can get close, that'll do.

Those Sims renders, as promised. I think D in particular turned out fairly consistently. I was doubtful of Keeley's redesign at first, but it's really growing on me. Couldn't quite get Eden's hair right; but this is a start.
And also this shot, where she's very much not trusting Gentry and Bobby. (As if they give her many reasons to.)
