I just came back to ProBoards after a two year break back in October. I just opened TalkPark and so far we got the biggest launch since StudioZero back in the day. almost 5k posts first week.
I'm also at Encide, a place for underground designers, many of whom have a few DD's here. It's invite only but I can drop you one, I think you'd fit in nicely there.

I do appreciate the invite but I think I'm gonna pass on that one. I haven't been so into art as much as I used to, it would probably go to waste on me. Rather I should say that I am into art but haven't been as diligent about it, and I've lost interest in forums.
It is kinda sad if you think about it, g101 and SSD in their prime were some pretty active and interesting places, and to see everyone lose interest so quickly is disappointing. I kinda feel nostalgic to those trendwhore days...

And you know how i am i left the entire internet for a good year but talk park is actually a pretty fun place, a lot of the old proboards faces just chatting.

I don't really consider 90% of the people I've talked to online "friends" - the only interaction I've had with them is text on a computer screen. It's really not a big loss for me. I don't get anything out of chatting on a forum, this is what I have real life friends for.
Not trying to attack you personally. Just trying to get across that I don't find it worthwhile unless there's something productive coming out of it. Design forums on proboards used to do that, and then they all essentially devolved into chat forums.

Yeah, I found pb helpful for the initial inspiration for digital art, and it helped when I started out with sigs and stuff. After that it was just talking, which was fine for a while.
