No, she's not from Korea. She lives in Hawaii. XD Her mom is Korean, but she speaks Korean about as badly well as I do. ;u; She's so nice. I congratulated her way back when she first found out and we wound up talking for awhile and now we practice our Korean together every now and then.

IT REALLY HAS BEEN SO LONG. I was beginning to wonder if college had killed you or something. ;u; Su happy to hear from you.
I've been doing pretty good. Started college this past semester, been trying to get my own business up and running, picked up Japanese along with my Korean. Not much to report, really.

Yup. It was her and a handful of other girls from various places. The company/tv station/whatever that sponsored it paid their way. The whole thing was basically a setting for a mini-series revolving around their time there. >u>;; Which I've still yet to watch, even though it came out at the beginning of this month... orz
Apparently she had a lot of fun. They didn't get to hang out with Jonghyun and Key as much as they were hoping, but she made really good friends with the other girls. From what she says Key speaks really, really good English though. Jonghyun... not so much. XD

I'm sorry. ;n; Do you have a long time left in school? Maybe there are some easier classes you can slip into your schedule?

I should really figure out how to work Tumblr. orz It confuses me...

Eh, my Korean is still pretty dodgy. I know I've improved over the past year or so, but I still feel like I should be further along. I can read it well and write it okay, but I don't really have anyone to practice speaking it with. ;~; I need Asian friends...
Japanese is really confusing! >.< I still can't fathom why they use three alphabets all at once. They just take characters from each alphabet and sort of smoosh them all together into a single sentence. I'm really not looking forward to learning kanji either. :\
I suppose I shouldn't really complain too much though. I really do enjoy the process of learning languages, and since I've decided to go into Linguistics I actually get to spend my time studying things that I enjoy. So I really am getting the better end of the bargain in this case...

I'm trying to get a crocheting business set up. I want to get a storefront up and running on Etsy and then maybe advertise around my college campus. It's mostly for stuff like hats, accessories, and stuff like that. Though I am thinking of making some kpop-related stuff. I had some really cute ideas for Exo and Shinee chibi keychains/dolls. But yeah, crocheting.

XD From what she said Jonghyun would say a few repetitive words in English, but that was about it. Although I think the funniest part was when she (and all the other girls that went) said that Key acted more manly/boyish than Jjong did during their stay. XD Don't get me wrong, I love Key, but imagining him acting as the masculine one out of the two is kind of... challenging.

Geeze. That's a lot of schooling. @.@ I'm pretty sure that's more than it would take me to get my master's degree...

I just sort of rage-quit on Tumblr when I couldn't figure out how to use custom CSS/HTML on my page. >u>; So, yeah. I think I spent a total of 20 minutes on Tumblr before I gave up. Heheh... orz

Learning how to read the language is the first step in the right direction! ^.^ Unfortunately, the only real way to improve when it comes to reading and writing is practice. Lots and lots of practice. There are only a handful of pronunciation irregularities in the language though, so it's waaay easier to memorize than English.
I'm not sure if Japanese is easier or harder than Chinese would be; I think it really depends on how you look at it. Coming off of a standpoint of a Korean student, there are different pros and cons. Japanese shares more in common with Korean sentence structure and whatnot, but the Korean vocabulary is more than 70% borrowed from Chinese. I'm pretty sure that Japanese has more parts of speech to learn than Chinese too... I don't know. I'll just have to figure it out whenever I pick up on learning Mandarin, which is probably going to be awhile into the future. If nothing else, at least learning Kanji now will help me when I get to learning Hanja. XD
Also, feel free to tell me if I bore you. I could ramble about languages forever, so I'm trying not to go on for too long about anything. eue;

Crocheting is pretty simple once you get the basics down; there are only like half a dozen stitches that most people use on a regular basis. The hardest part is just learning how to control tension on your yarn, which is really just a matter of getting a hand-feel for it. Now knitting... I don't understand knitting. @~@ I watched a friend of mine try to learn how to knit and it looked devilishly impossible.

In personality, perhaps. Key just gives off a more flamboyant vibe by nature, at least to me. XD He has that whole metrosexual thing going on. (Of course, this is just based off of physical appearances in my case. XD; Yes, I'm being totally superficial and saying that Jjong looks manlier than Key on average.)

I haven't used CSS or anything since my Neopets days, which were probably 8 years back or so. So I got lost really fast... Coding is so confusing now that I'm grown up. ;n;

I just don't get how you're supposed to be able to loop the yarn together in knitting. I mean, there are no hooks on the ends of the needles or anything. What do you grab the yarn with? e~e Crocheting just seems so much more straightforward to me. You use the hook to pull the yarn through your loop and then you make another loop; that's pretty much the entirety of how crocheting works. XD

Well, I will admit that after watching some of their live performances and seeing his hair with outfits other than those stupid hippy ones Taemin's long hair has grown on me a bit. I especially like it when he pulls it back, but I think he's always look best with a ponytail, ever since seeing Lucifer. He just looks so much more grown up.

XD I watched like 200 different performances they've done. Watching Key perform Stranger always makes me so happy. *v* It's my favorite song off their mini-album.

GAH, EXO'S SHOWCASE WAS AMAZING. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. AND LEETEUK AS THE MC WAS SUCH A PERFECT IDEA. I think choosing the leader of Super Junior to host really well represented the sort of 'passing of the torch' from the pioneers of the Korean pop culture in Asia to the potential pioneers of Korean pop culture worldwide. I just can't wait to get the chance to see EXO and SuJu perform side-by-side at an SMTown concert. Two generations of epic in the same place at the same time? *grabby hands* Yes, please.

yeah sorry about the mecha...I couldn't remember ALL the anime I watched so I ended up remembering my "mecha" phase. I really got into mecha at one point before was only watching Gundam. But I'm serious, TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN is BEAST! The story and character development is amazing. It's really a high praised anime.

Yeah same I watched Inuyasha a lot starting from grade 5, but because I had AOL at the time (dad got it b/c for 3 its months free -_-)I couldn't watch it online so i suffered to watch all the english re runs. But the english dub wasn't bad so it was ok. The last english episode was the part where they bust out of the ogre demon's stomach and then that's it until i heard there's more in japanses so I'm hoping to get back into it.

WOW rly?! Deathnote for me was really cool and epic. Oh yeah in philosophy class my teacher had us read the first chapter of it, but it was condensed. It was awesome I did so well b/c i knew the story and I was relating it to the content easily XD I felt intelligent in that class for once

lol I remember that show! I used to watch it on tv when I was little. I liked it, but then we no longer had cable so I ended up forgetting about it until now
I'm most likely not going to go back to it since I need to catch up in Ao no Exorcist, then I might start watching Black Cat.

I didn't really mind the eng dubs but I guess that's cuz I didn't have a choice at the time -_-

lol yeah and then when you go to bed at night, you're going to hear some weird noises only to see it's some pale asian dude with messy hair all hunched up on your chair eating away on some chips and staring at you in a creepy manner OwO
